In the society we live in there are several hurdles for a woman to cross and go
beyond the boundaries. Women's association in business especially in new
ventures are very few and even negligible in certain part of the country.
This phenomenon is not only in force in India but whole globe is affected by the
same. Women are considered second Citizen and are not given equal
opportunities as those men in business and other areas of operations. But with
change in time and procedures age old concepts are changing and turning with
the new ideology and game in play Women's are taking the driving seat in many
fields which includes Saina Nehwal & PV Sindhu in Badminton Hima Das in
Athletic Deepa Karmakar in Gymnastics, Shefali Verma & Harmanpreet Kaur
in Cricket and many more. If we talk about business and entrepreneurship then
Kiran Mazumdar Shaw Biocon, Naykaa, Ophra Winfrey, and many more.
In the present case analysis real life example of Aparna Banerjee from the city
of joy Kolkata whose innovative thinking and idea generation gave a new hope
to poor and miserable women and their families living in extreme poverty and
sub living conditions. Her idea of launching a Mobile kiosk which solved
space, time and finance related issues.

Issues highlighted in the case are spread to various social, cultural, financial and
empowerment zones.

 Lack of awareness and education

Women in India especially in the villages are not sent to schools and Colleges
which deprive them from education and lack of awareness regarding living
condition, health and hygiene.

 Dependence on Male person of the family

Women in the country are dependent on the Male member of the family for
their livelihood and survival. Thereby they are socially inactive and live a life of
prejudice and injustice. Taking a second seat in the society.

 Poor economical conditions

Major chunk of population in the country live below or on the poverty line and
are not even able to earn food for two times. Therefore, earning and saving is
impossible in such a condition. Women on other hand don't even get enough
money to run their house in a situation how they can think for starting a new
business or even run a home made good enterprise.

 Social backwardness of women

Women in the society are not considered at par with the male counterparts and
treated in a very uncultured and poor condition. They are not given freedom of
choice and selection and have to live with the decision taken by the family.
They struggle with their living and existence in the world. So, it becomes very
difficult for them to create their identity and make a mark in the society.

 Crossing taboos

In India, women in business is considered a taboo and thereby leading a new

venture in the male dominated world is very difficult and giving birth to anxiety
and uncertainty of success even create dark cloud in the way. Several steps
taken in this regards are not fulfilling the prospects. Even today women are
caged in the house.

 Idea generation

Aparna Banerjee's out of the box thinking lead to creation of a new age concept
of mobile kiosk. But it took 2 year of thinking and constant research to develop
such a concept in real life which can be seen in movies and web series. Ms.
Banerjee struggled through ups and down while searching for feasibility of the
idea generated and working on it gave her some hope.

 Finance

Gathering Finance for the project was very difficult and Ms. Banerjee went all
round the way for the same. She took all the provable steps and reconsider her
methodology for getting the funds for the business and launch it on ground.
She started her venture on a very small scale and with profit & generated
revenue led a chain of growth and developments.

 Collection of products
One of the major difficulty faced by Ms. Banerjee was collection and
segregation of products prepared by ladies in their house like wafers, paste
snacks, ready to eat meal, chips, pickles, papad and different local sauce, etc.
and it was a huge task to identify such makers and get fresh products from them
to the selling window.
Ms. Banerjee tried to pull village women and their talent for the same and
indeed brought them in main stream world.

 Searching hard working employee

Ms. Banerjee wanted hard working and dedicated employees known as Swaym
under her channel Sukanya which she launched for the benefit of the society
and rural women population. Her venture had to go through different patches of
success and failure in business.

 Implementation of studies

Ms. Banerjee is graduated from one of the premier College XLRI giving her
deep inside of society work and anthropology studies further helped in her
enterprise of a new venture with low cost of set up and management.
Her concept of better living conditions for the women in the society bore fruit
and yielded living for thousands of women who directly or indirectly connected
to her venture.

Step which can be taken to boost and overcome the issues:
