Bently Nevada Asset Condition Monitoring
Optimization and Control
We have assessed our ability to provide support for the existing 3300 monitor systems. In an effort
to afford our customers sufficient opportunity to make their long term monitoring strategies, we
have formalized our support plan:
• As of July 2009, all 3300 components not already in Phase 3 of obsolescence will be moved
to Phase 3. Phase 3 obsolescence means that existing 3300 customers may order spares for
their racks, but no new systems will be sold. Many 3300 components were already in Phase
3; all remaining components will now be moved to Phase 3.
• We will support the 3300 system in Phase 3 as long as possible given limited availability of
components. Current estimates are that we can continue in Phase 3 until July 2010. At that
time we will move to Phase 4 of obsolescence. In Phase 4, monitors may be sent back to the
factory for repair, but no new monitors are available for sale.
• As always, Bently Nevada will honor its industry leading three-year warranty. We are
committed to holding Phase 4 of obsolescence until all monitors purchased are out of
warranty.
• Field verification and troubleshooting services will continue to be available for 3300 monitor
systems for several years after the monitors have reached Phase 4 obsolescence. While we
are committed to provide field service as long as practical, we cannot guarantee that
problems encountered by the field service engineers can be corrected due to the inability to
produce spare parts.
