Distance Plug-in CSI SAP2000

Introduction
This manual will illustrate installing and using Distance plug-in for CSI SAP2000. Distance Plug-in will
calculate the distance between two points.

Requirements
1. SAP2000 v16 or v17

Installation
1. After running the installer, run CSI SAP2000® and go to Tools  Add / Show Plug Ins…
2. In Plug In Name type “SAP2000Plugin_MALI_Distance”, and in Menu Text type “Distance” then
click Add.

For SAP 2000 v17, the plug in name will be

“SAP2000Plugin_MALI_DistanceV17”

3. If the status is OK, close the dialog box and run the command from Tools menu
Usage
The output will depend on the selection as following, if you select:

One Area
The plug in will calculate the distance between the maximum and minimum point.

One Frame
The Plug In will calculate the distance between the end points

Two Frames
The Plug In will calculate the distance between the mid points

One point and One frame

The Plug In will calculate the distance between the point and midpoint of the frame
Two points
The Plug In will calculate the distance between the two points. In all cases the distance will be displayed
in a dialog box as following
