How to interpret tarot cards.

Quick steps to do the reading to be followed and basic spread for the beginner. There are a million
different ways to read Tarot Cards. In this simple, step by step process, you will learn how to give
yourself a meaningful, intuitive Tarot card reading, regardless of your level of experience. This process
helps you tap into your intuition and look at your Tarot cards in a whole new light.

Basically, there are two ways of performing the tarot card reading - the first way is to memorise all the
Tarot card meanings that are in your Tarot book. The second way is to use your intuition and psychic
abilities to interpret the cards. Most Tarot readers do both – they know and understand the meanings of
the Tarot cards, but they also use their intuition to guide them.

For the first one - that is to know the meaning of the tarot cards and then memorize it, we will be going
through each card separately and explain the meaning of each card and symbol.Steps to follow for
intuitive tarot card reading.

Step 1: Set your mind completely Relax

When you are relaxed and your mind is quiet, the soft voice of your intuition can be heard. Make
yourself comfortable and begin by taking slow, deep breaths in through the nose and out through the
nose or mouth. Visualize exhaling everything that’s on your mind – you can come back to your worries
later – but for now, let your mind become clear and empty.

Relax your body by breathing into any areas of tension or discomfort and exhaling the tension until your
body feels warm and calm.

Clear your Tarot Deck

Clearing the deck is important. Since your deck will have absorbed the energies of your last reading or of
the last person who touched it, it is important to clear your deck of any residual energies.

There were many ways to clear the deck. However, shuffling of cards is also one of the tarot card
clearing techniques that can clear your card's energy right away. This means you do not have to use the
symbol again and again or show sage bundle smoke to it in the middle of the readings

After you shuffle your deck a few times, hold it in your hands and give it a “light bath” – visualize
breathing in a beautiful white light and sending that light down your arms and into your tarot deck so
that it is bathed in white light. This not only clears your deck, but it helps you connect more strongly to
your Tarot cards.

Step 3: Ask Your Question

As you hold your deck, ask your question silently in your mind or out loud. If you don’t have a specific
question, you may simply ask your Tarot cards “what do I need to know right now?” or “What messages
do you have for me today?”
Let your question settle into the deck. Imagine that your question is traveling from your mind, down
your arms and into your Tarot cards.

Step 4: Cut the Deck & Do the Reading

Place your Tarot deck on the table in front of you and using your left hand, cut the deck in half and place
the top half on the left. You should have two piles of cards now. Choose the card that is on the top of
the right pile and turn it over.

When you are doing intuitive reading it is always advised to do 10-15mins meditation prior to start the
readings. Although, meditation is to be done everyday - as much as possible. 1/2n hr to 1 hour or 2
hours

After the reading clean the tarot deck and keep it safe

Types of Interpretation Tarot Cards Can Do

1. Yes – NO Interpretation* - The tarot card can be drawn to check whether or not an event can occur.
For example, if you want to check whether your relationship with your husband/wife will be carried
forward or not or even if the marriage with your partner is possible or not, the tarot card can give the
answer in 'YES' or 'NO'.

2. Past, Present, Future Interpretation -The tarot cards can interpret or predict the past, present and/or
future of a person and even your relationship, business, company, job etc.

BASIC CARD SPREADS FOR BEGINNERS

Simple 1-Card Reading* - In this you can simply draw 1 card out of deck of 78 cards after shuffling and
interpret the meaning. This card can be drawn randomly from the top of the deck or from the spread.

This type of spread is mainly used to predict Yes/No of the sitation

the shuffling from the top of the deck.

ii)Or the entire deck can be spread on the spread cloth and pick just one card that is drawn by your
intuition or energy.

iii) it can be a Jumper , the card that jumps out of the deck while shuffling and thinking of the question.
 2- Card Spread- Starting with smaller Tarot spreads is often recommended for beginners
because there is less risk for confusion when you keep the numbers down. A 2-card Tarot spread
can be extremely powerful because it is open-ended and leave you to come with the solution or
figure out the projected outcome yourself. Rather than predict the future, they often show the
pure dynamic at hand and help you find the answer/solution within.

Generally, in 2 card reading the Card -1 gives you the

possible outcome of the question in yes or no and Card-2
gives either a suggestion or solution. However, everybody's
intuitive power is different so while drawing the card you
need to tell in your mind which card is for what purpose.

Also, 2-card spread can be used to find the *pros* and

*cons* of the situation. For example, if you perform a task,
there could be something good that will happen or something
adverse may take place. In that case, 2 card spread must be
considered where first card is generally for *pros* and second card is
*cons.*

How to Draw 2-Card Spread* - You can draw two cards back to
back from the top of deck after shuffling. Need to keep the clarity in
mind that which card is for outcome and suggestion or pros and
cons. Or spread the cards on the cloth and draw two cards with
same clarity in mind.

ignore jumpers

future. As you select your 3 cards, think about the questions you’d like answered or the
problems you’re facing. As you read the interpretations on each card, consider how they apply
to the question you asked or your current situation.

Card 1 - The Past:* This card represents your situation—why

you’re currently in the spot you’re in. It often symbolizes a
person or relationship in your life that has influenced your
question.

problem, often as a direct result of the situation. Pay close attention to this card as it may be trying to
show you things that you’ve previously overlooked.

Card 3 - The Future:* The final card in this 3-card spread provides guidance to face and overcome your
issue. It may provide options you hadn’t considered or resources and people you’d overlooked.
The 3 -Card Spread also helps make decision by letting you know the possible outcome of the options in
your mind. For example - you receive offer letters from 3 companies or more. You want to know which
one will be better for your future. You can use 3-card spread to know the outcome of each option.

For this type of spread you must have clarity of the question. Like for job in new company you must
know the name of the company clearly and while drawing each card must take the name of the
company to know possible out comes or suggestion.
