Woke
Although they may sound similar the term "woke" and
being spiritually "awake" are two entirely different
concepts.

The term "Woke" is slang for someone that has realized

and fights against injustices and oppression in the political
system in the United States. This term is most often used
as a label for those seeking equality for minority people
including but not limited to black, indigenous, people of
color, and LGBTQ+.

The term "Awake" is used to describe someone who has

gone through a spiritual transformation and has drastically
altered their state of consciousness. Someone that is
"Awake" will normally not partake in practices that they see
to be counterproductive to their personal and the collective
growth of the world. "Awakened" people put their energy

Many "spiritual" people can recall the significant shift in their lives
that they may classify as "waking up" or "awakening". This shift is
often so intense that it may last weeks, months, or even years as
they integrate what they have experienced back into their lifestyle.

Crazy
Sometimes spiritual growth can be scary and mind bending to say the

examples of how to respond to someone who is just not getting it.

"This stuff is such a
waste of money" and I'm not too worried about the money because it is
something that makes me happy, and I deserve to be
happy. I am also great at budgeting for my happiness!"
Ok, so you tried the nice way, and it didn't go
too well...

Harsh reality:
You might lose people
One of the sad realities of spiritual awakenings is that sometimes the
people we love are unwilling to work on themselves emotionally,
mentally, and spiritually the way we are. This can create a rift between
you and your loved one as you move on into a "higher vibration" and
they stay stagnant. You may naturally distance yourself from this person
and they may distance themselves from you. The most common reason
that you may lose a loved one during your spiritual awakening is that
they are fearful, angry, or completely closed off from growth.

All you can really do is hold love for them and hope that they find a path
that brings them joy and happiness. You should never attempt to change
anyone that doesn't want to be changed. It could be time for you to
move on to a new level with a new group of people that will be provided
by the Universe/God/whatever you believe in.
HEALTHY SUPPORT FROM FAMILY/FRIENDS CAN LOOK LIKE:

Tarot

W H A T I S Tarot?
Fortune telling and divination have been used for 100's of years using numerous
outlets such as the stars, hands, and even eggs. Tarot cards (a popular form of
divination) originated in Italy during the 14th or 15th century. Originally, the cards

were used to play a card game similar to bridge known as Tarocchi.

Later, another type of cards used specifically for divination were created. Those
cards are called Oracle cards and are similar to Tarot cards.

Reading tarot or oracle is surprisingly simple!
The 4 basic steps to take are:

4.) Flip over and interpret the cards!

Each card has a specific meaning, and they mean something else

time to memorize. Thankfully there are some hacks that make this

Cards M E A N ? !

There are several other ways to help figure out what your cards
mean without scrambling for the internet or guidebook. Some
include using the colors on the card and checking if the cards are
major or minor arcana.

Blues- clarity
Blacks- chaos, a difficult period, turmoil

Is the card a Major or Minor Arcana?

In a "Traditional" tarot deck (Rider, Rider-Waite,
Radiant Waite, etc.). There are Minor Arcana (cards
with roman numerals) and Major Arcana (cards
with names/titles). The Minor Arcana are believed
to be "free will" cards meaning that the future is
not set, wheras the Major Arcana cards reveal a
fate or destined situation/answer.

B U T W H A T D O T H E

Cards M E A N ? !

You can memorize the cards, but it is much easier to use key
clues to distinguish meaning from your tarot spread!

Which direction are the characters facing?

When the character on the card is facing right (forward), I personally
see that as a sign that you are looking towards the future whereas if
they are looking to the left (backwards) you are looking to the past.

Don't use reversals.

When you pull a card that is upside down, that normally
means something different from the meaning of the
card right side up. However, many professional readers
choose to read cards only right side up for simplicities
sake.

When in doubt, use your intuition!

Your intuition matters more than anyone else's interpretation of the
cards! That's not saying that you should ignore strong signs and
symbols, but at the end of the day the card meanings are slightly
different for everyone.
Q U I C K A N D E A S Y T A R O T

Spreads

If you're looking for very simple spreads (patterns) to read

your cards with, look no further than below! When in doubt,
pull as many cards as you feel is necessary to gain clarity!

Past, Present, Future

Try pulling 3 cards: one for the past, one for the
present, and one for the future. Questions that
you might ask could look like, "What do I need to
know about my career
choices/relationships/health in the past, present
and future?"

Jumpers/ One Card Spread

A simple way to pull cards that is not time consuming, or
overwhelming is to shuffle until a card jumps or flips out of the deck.

Alternatively, you could shuffle, spread the cards (face down,) and pick
one based off of your intuition. Or even not spread the cards and
choose the top card after shuffling.

YES/NO (If you stay/If you go)

Another simple way to pull cards is to set out 2 cards with the
intention that one is what will happen if you choose option #1
and the other is what will happen if you choose option #2. This
is a very basic way to ask questions about one choice versus the
other.

Pendulums
What is a Pendulum?
Pendulums are a way to answer Yes or No questions based on your
subconcious desires. Pendulums can be very helpful because it is often
hard to answer yes or no questions through tarot or other modalities.

Pendulums have many looks, but modern ones include a crystal (or other
material) point tied tied to a chain. (Some people even repurpose old
necklaces or DIY their pendulum)

How Do I Use It?

To program a pendulum, you hold the top of the chain, so the point hangs down
and say a false statement about yourself. Whatever direction the pendulum
swings is your signal for NO. Now say a true statement and watch your pendulum
swing the opposite direction. Now you're ready to ask your Yes or No questions!

Example: Another Example:

When I say, "I am 73 years old." (a lie), When my friend Wade

my pendulum swings this way. says, "I am 73 years old." (a

B A S I C Palm Reading
Before there was tarot, there was Palmistry. Palm Reading has been practiced for centuries
around the world. While there is no true origin for palm reading, we know that ancient
civilizations in India, Nepal, Tibet, China, Babylonia, Persia, Sumeria and many others
practiced this fortune telling method. Keep in mind that your palms natural lines can
change, and a palm reading will change accordingly.

Palm reading is the art of fortune telling through markings and lines in the hands.

Crystals?
Similar to plants; crystals, rocks, and minerals are used in everything! From

According to crystal enthusiasts, each crystal has one or more properties
that can help us focus on healing. The most basic way to use crystals is to
create a purpose or intention for them and then carry, wear, or leave them
in a place that reminds you of that intention.

example, you wouldn't want to put a stone that you think is an

All stones can and should be cleansed and/or charged, but charging

Crystals
I normally recommend cleansing your crystals regularly to help remove any negative energy
from them as they help you on your journey. Some people also believe that you should charge
your crystals after you cleanse them as well. However, I am a believer that the stones are
naturally "charged" and therefore this doesn't need to be done often or at all. It's your choice!

Smoke Cleansing Selenite

Smoke cleansing is the most common Selenite is a white salt-based stone that

BAD ADVICE ALERT!

Very often I hear people say that they read/saw that you can charge your crystals in
sunlight or water. I normally DO NOT recommend this because many stones (amethyst,
rose quartz, citrine, etc.) will fade in sunlight. Similarly, some stones will breakdown in
water or are poisonous (selenite, malachite, pyrite, etc.).

~Broke ~ Disappeared ~ Isn't working~

Sometimes your crystals or crystal jewelry might break, disappear,
or simply don't seem to be working. Let's look at 5 major reasons
why this could happen.

1 . ) T H E P U R P O S E H A S B E E N F U L F I L L E D

For example, if you bought a crystal for fertility and then got pregnant it would make
sense that that crystal may DISAPPEAR or BREAK after that wish has been fulfilled.

2 . ) Y O U N E E D T O P R O G R A M / R E S E T Y O U R S T O N E

If you forgot to set your intention into your stone, it may not have a clear
understanding of what you are trying to achieve. Try holding your stone and focusing
on what you want its purpose to be. This is a great idea if you feel your crystal is NOT
WORKING.

3 . ) I T S I M P L Y N E E D S C L E A N S E D

If a stone has absorbed a lot of energy from you or others, it may STOP WORKING,
BREAK, OR DISAPPEAR.

4 . ) Y O U D R O P P E D I T

Sometimes there is no metaphysical explanation for your stone BREAKING other than
you dropped it! If you dropped it in a wEiRd way it could be that that stone was full of
too much energy, needed cleansed, or the purpose had been fulfilled.

5 . ) Y O U ' R E S K E P I T C A L

the power of crystals remember that the brain is a very powerful muscle, and the

~Broke ~ Disappeared ~ Isn't working~

If your crystal or crystal jewelry breaks, disappears, or simply

doesn't seem to be working, let's look at how you can recover or
"dispose" of your crystals.

1 . ) G I V E I T B A C K T O T H E E A R T H

If your crystal has BROKEN, we normally recommend that you

give it back to the earth by burying it outside or putting it in your
favorite plant. Consider this a gift to Mother Earth.

2 . ) G I V E I T T O S O M E O N E T H A T N E E D S I T

If your crystal ISN'T WORKING, it may be meant to be moved on

to someone else. Or it is actually meant for someone else to begin

Smoke Cleansing
SMOKE CLEANSING HAS BEEN DONE FOR CENTURIES BY
NEARLY EVERY CULTURE AND RELIGION SINCE THE CREATION
OF FIRE. SMOKE CLEANSING IS OFTEN USED SPIRITUALLY,
MEDICINALLY, OR TO DISPEL NEGATIVE ENERGY.

S A G E :

Sages and burnable herbs such as white sage, desert sage, cedar, mugwort,
sweetgrass, sandalwood, mountain sage, palo santo and many others can be
burned for purification, intention setting, protection, cleansing or specific
spiritual ceremonies. What sage you use traditionally depended on what was
available to you. Thankfully modern travel has allowed for an abundance of
saging options. Always remember to use ethically sourced burnable herbs.

I N C E N S E :

There are 5 major types of incense including: sticks, cones, backflow cones,
powder, and rope/braids. Incense is a simple way to continuously release
smoke in a controlled amount. Incense sticks should be burned using a holder
and backflow cones should be used with backflow burners. Incense smoke can
be used just like a burnable herb for dispelling negative energy.

R E S I N :

Resin is a crystalized material that is taken directly from trees, shrubs, and
plants. It can come from wood parts of trees such as the roots or bark or is
made from the sap. To burn resin, light a charcoal disk on fire and place in a
resin burner or fire safe dish. After the charcoal disk has turned gray, place a
small amount of resin on top.

S P R A Y :

Sprays are modern day smoke cleansing tools for those that have asthma,
sensitive noses, breathing issues, and/or even delicate fire alarms in their
home or workplace. Sprays are very subtle and great for on-the-go purposes.
Sprays can be made from essential oils and the natural plants that you
would burn such as sages.
Aromatherapy
Many people swear by different scents and essential oils to aid in healing and promote
good health. Special scents can be used to remember the past, honor a god/goddess, or
help us meditate and connect to the divine. Essential oils are often worn as a body
spray/perfume or are used in a diffuser to spread scent into the air of a room.

Here are examples of some of the basic scents and their purposes:

Psychedelics & O T H E R F U N P L A N T S

When used responsibly, psychedelics have the ability to help us learn about
ourselves, work through difficult mental blocks, and grow as spiritual
beings. Despite the negative political propaganda, there are thousands of
testaments to the power of psychedelics and their ability to heal anxiety
and depression. It has long been argued that the tremendous benefits of
plant medicines has been overshadowed by the fear of manmade drugs
(such as Heroin and Meth).

Q : What are psychedelic plant medicines?

Psychedelic plant medicines are sacred plants that have been used for hundreds of years
around the world. When these plants were first discovered by natives, they were used in
A: specialty ceremonies to connect with God(s), nature, community, oneself, and/or the Universe.
These plants are still used today to connect with our bodies, heal emotional wounds, cure

Q:addiction, and more. These plants include but are not limited to Ayahuasca, Marijuana,
Ibogaine, Psylocibin, Cacao, (R)Hapé, Sanaga, Bufo, Peyote, Kambo, and more.

Q : Aren't these all DRUGS?

NO and YES. It depends on who you ask. Many people argue that the difference between a

A: "drug" and a "medicine" is its purpose/intention. People that choose to use these plants for
healing will often call it a medicine (and mean it!). Unlike street drugs or party drugs, these
plants are meant to be used to heal and often times are not fun experiences. Many of these
plants can have positive life altering effects and are taken very seriously in the plant medicine
community.

Q : Are they dangerous?

YES. These plants are not to be messed with! They are powerful tools that require respect,
intention, and the full attention of a medicine wo(man) as your guide. While incredibly rare,
A: deaths can happen if you are on counteractive medications, have medical conditions such as
epilepsy, or are not supervised by a trained shaman. Thankfully those that take these
medicines seriously, rarely have life threatening issues.
Q : Who should do these plants?
Healthy people that are struggling with mental health, childhood trauma, severe depression/
anxiety, or addiction may benefit from plant medicines. It is very important that you choose to
A: do plant medicines with the help of a trained guide and honesty is KEY. As Soul Quest Church of
Ayahuasca's co-founder Chris often says, "You lie, you die." People with Schizophrenia, Bipolar
disorders, or similar mental health issues should not partake in many of these plant medicines.
Before a plant medicine ceremony, you should be entirely sober from any street drugs and
most medications - especially SSRIs + MAOIs.

Q : What if I have a BAD TRIP?

Most people that regularly partake in plant medicines do not agree with the term "Bad Trip". With
psychedelic plants you may experience both "good" and "bad" hallucinations. Regardless of your
A: interpretation of these visuals, most agree there is always a lesson to be learned within it. During some
plant medicine journeys you may re-live childhood trauma, face fears, find new perspectives on loss, or
even feel like you are dying. With proper integration afterwards, these insights can be true blessings that

Q:
change the course of your life for the better. My advice is to lean into the fear and trust that these plants,
your body, and your soul, know what's best for you and will act accordingly.

Q : What if I start and I get Addicted?

Anything that you use as a coping mechanism can be addictive. Food, alcohol, energy drinks, TV, Tic Tok,
even exercise can be addictive. Luckily most plant medicines other than cacao (contains natural caffeine)
A: and (R)Hapé (contains natural Tabacco) do not contain any physically addictive substances. Unlike man
made substances, plant medicines normally contain only one ingredient (the plant!). The fear of
addiction stems from the destruction that drugs like opioids have caused to our society. Many plant
medicines are used to TREAT addiction and most are not experiences that you would want to do
regularly.

What is your biggest word of advice if I am interested in

Q :
trying a plant medicine?
Don't forget to Integrate! Integration is the most important part of a plant medicine
A: journey! Integration is the process of taking what you saw and learning how that fits
into your reality once you go home. This can take weeks, months, or even years. The
best way to do this is to talk to other people who have experienced the plant
medicine that you have. You can find support groups online or even find a one-on-
one integration coach. This is often a better route than traditional therapy because
plant medicine journeys are not always seen positively by traditional medical
communities.

Astrology?
What is Astrology really?
Astrology is an ancient method of using the sky for information about
ourselves. Most cultures in the world use the sky as a significant source
of scientific and spiritual data - from the making of the modern-day
calendar and time system, to personality types.

Is Astrology scientific?
Astrology is actually incredibly scientific as it is a subpart of ASTRONOMY.
With the help of astronomy time, the positions of the planets at any given
time, and many other factors help determine what we know about
astrology. While the personality profiles of zodiac signs are not necessarily a
science, hundreds of years of work from all over the world has gone into
these explanations.

How does Astrology heal?

Astrology helps us understand ourselves and be more empathetic humans. When
using astrology with the relationships in your life, you may be able to find that
you are more understanding of other's personality or outlook on a situation
based off of their astrology. Astrology, like all metaphysical practices, is a TOOL
for healing and doesn't resonate with everyone's journey.

My partner and my compatibility don't match, are we doomed?

Just because your sun sign compatibility does not match, that doesn't mean
that you are not compatible in other parts of your astrological birth chart! If
anything, your signs are just used to help you navigate your partner and
your relationship more efficiently.

People with a lot of fire in their birth chart can be great leaders.
However, they may sometimes come across as brash or uncaring

Water Signs
The element of WATER is fluid, flexible, emotional, and empathetic.
People with a lot of water in their birth chart can be amazing
care-ers and listeners. However, they may experience unnecessary
sensitivity and should take care to communicate effectively and
protect their energy.

Earth Signs
The element of EARTH is sturdy, reliable, hardworking, and hands-on. People
with a lot of Earth signs in their birth chart can be excellent hands-on
workers such as gardeners, laborers, or outdoor educators. Earth signs have
an innate connection with the outdoors and are very loving partners.
However, they may be very simplistic in their views or unwilling to look more
deeply at certain situations.

Air Signs
The element of AIR is intelligent, friendly, adaptable, and specific. People
with a lot of Air signs in their birth chart may be excellent educators and

they may have perfectionist tendencies and struggle with appreciating their

Sign M A K E S E N S E ?

One of the most common complaints I hear about horoscopes/zodiac signs/astrology is that they just
don't line up! Maybe you read that Sagittarians are wild party maniacs, but you wouldn't dare miss a
night in with a good book. Or maybe your partners horoscope said, "BIG MONEY!" and they just lost their
job. Either way you're fed up and completely over horoscopes. The bad news is, you've been misled. The
good news is... it's an easy fix!

The real reason you can't figure out your horoscope is because you're only looking at the Sun sign! The
best way to get a good read on your personality or daily life is to use ALL of your signs (or at least the
main three!)

It's not as hard as you think! I recommend using a free birth chart calculator to see where you stand!

Sun Sign

The sun sign is all about your true identity deep down. It is often the
only sign that people know because it directly correlates with your
birthday. This sign is your most well-known, but you may not resonate
with it until you get in touch with your true nature and identity.

Moon Sign

The Moon sign is about our emotions. What you need to feel
emotionally fulfilled is based off of your moon sign. In relationships, it is
more important to look at and analyze your moon signs rather than
your sun sign because your moon sign helps us to understand how we
relate to others mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Rising (Ascending) Sign

The Rising or Ascending sign is a tricky one because this sign is how we
portray ourselves to others. Often times when people do not resonate with
their sun sign it is because they are more aligned with this sign for the time
being. As we age, we tend to resonate with this sign less and less as we
begin to shed other people's opinions of us and gain self-awareness and
confidence. This sign can only be correctly determined by using your EXACT
birth time.

Because spirituality is not a religion, spiritual people and groups often partake in
traditions and beliefs from around the world, but do not adhere to one religious'

example, nearly every culture has smoke cleansing ceremonies.

A common consensus between spiritual people is that culture is meant to be shared,

Goddesses & Gods

Do people actually worship ancient gods and goddesses?

YES. Because Christianity is the most common religion in the United
States, it's easy to forget that other gods and even goddesses are
worshipped not just around the world, but right in our own backyards.

Do you have to believe in God to be Spiritual?

NO. While some spiritual people feel called to work with gods or
goddesses, many don't believe in god(desses) at all. Many spiritual
people believe that "God" is the Universe or a compilation of
humanity that resides within all of us (aka: we are God). Others have a
very specific idea of our nature, and creator.

Why do people worship gods/goddesess?

that it remains something available to all. Many people feel "called" by

life or just for a certain period of time. For example, while trying to get
pregnant, someone may pray for the help from a fertility goddess.

How do people worship gods/goddesses?

The easiest way to worship a god or goddess is to pray to them or to

build an altar for them. There are also specific rituals and traditions
you can do based on your god/goddess to connect with them such as
attending religious group services.

Auras can be defined as the color of your energetic body. The color of your aura can change
and/or be a mixture of colors. This type of metaphysical work can tell you the state of your
mental, emotional, or spiritual state at any given time. Some people go many years, or even a
lifetime, with the same aura color. You can go to an aura reader, get an aura photograph
done, or learn to read your own aura. This is a great way to get a visual representation of
your life path or healing journey.

What we listen to has the ability to affect our mental health and spiritual wellbeing
more than we know. Some musical notes have been known to affect how plants,
water, pets, and humans grow and thrive. Similarly, the WORDS that we listen to are
equally important.
One common way that people use sound to help their healing process includes
sound bowls or healing frequencies. The Solfeggio Frequencies are a set of
musical tones that Gregorian Monks chanted during meditation. These frequencies
are well known in spiritual communities to help heal the conscious and
subconscious mind. These tones can be played using singing bowls and other
musical tools or simply listened to through a recording.
396 Hz – Helps relieve grief and guilt. Promotes joy and forgiveness.

417 Hz – Helps clear negativity, negative

thought loops, and breaks down
subconscious blockages.

528 Hz – Promotes a feeling of love for others and oneself, restores balance in the
body, and repairs damaged DNA from past or present lives.

639 Hz – Strengthens relationships, friendships, family ties, and promotes a sense

of unity.

741 Hz – Physically cleanses the body from all types of toxins.

852 Hz – Awakens intuition and helps you return to spiritual balance.

You may be surprised at how many songs on your playlist are NOT helping your

What we listen to doesn't just mean music and tones. How we talk to ourselves, and
others matters. When we are trying to manifest what we want or help others keep a
positive mindset we should always speak in ways that the universe understands and not
give energy to negative phrases.

This does not mean that you shouldn't address problem areas in your life. It just means
to change the way we talk about those situations in a way that helps us rather than
