1. What is structural reliability?

Answer: Structural reliability is about applying reliability engineering theories to
buildings and, more generally, structural analysis. Reliability is also used as a
probabilistic measure of structural safety. The reliability of a structure is defined as
the probability of complement of failure.

2. What is the significance of structural health monitoring research?

Answer : Structural health monitoring sensors and systems from the design stage is
likely to greatly reduce the life cycle cost. Structural health monitoring systems could
ensure increased safety and reliability while reducing maintenance costs.

3. What is the purpose of dynamic testing?

Answer: Dynamic testing is a software testing type, which checks the dynamic
behavior of the code. In order to check the dynamic behavior, the code must be
executed. The main purpose of the dynamic test is to ensure consistency to the
software.

4. What is the dynamic testing method?

Answer: Dynamic testing technique is the type of testing that validates the
functionality of an application when the code is executed by executing the code. In
simple terms dynamic testing is performed by actually using the application and
seeing if a functionality works the way it is expected to.

5. What are the basic requirements for structural health monitoring?

Answer: The basic requirement for structure health monitoring as like
1) Sensors
2) Data acquisition
3) Data transfer and storage
4) Data management
5) Data analysis

A house with pilaster wall has a spacing of 20m between transverse walls and adopts
a large reinforced concrete roof slab roof system. The bottom chord elevation of the
roof is 5.0m and the foundation elevation is -0.45m .. The size of the bearing wall
with wall is shown in the figure. The calculated cross-sectional area A = 956500 mm
and the cross-sectional moment of inertia I = 9.644× 10 mm4. MU10 sintered
common brick and M5 mixed mortar are used for masonry. Does the height-thickness
ratio of longitudinal wall with pilaster meet the requirements?
