people taking decisions and people exhibiting decisions where She feels he would be able to do a

2. Are all the HR functions equally important? If yes, why? If not, why and
how is the importance determined?
Yes, All the HR functions are equally important. One cannot point out one particular
department and say it is important. That is not possible in a company. If one function goes wrong
the impact is seen everywhere. The importance cannot be channelized to particular department.
The extent of impact can be different but there will be an impact when some function goes
wrong somewhere. So, I would not prefer any importance to particularly important.
First in as a HR we need to take care of our stakeholders which includes Board of
Directors, the business and people/employees likewise each department has different set of
stakeholders. Even if an admin person makes a mistake or not performing well, the impact will
be on employees directly. But if a reporting or decision making goes wrong in other departments
the impact is less comparatively but you are answerable to the Board of Directors and if a HR
business partner makes a mistake the impact will be on the business. So, one cannot point out
one HR function is important, everyone has to make sure that the business runs smooth.
