WRITING I

SUMMARY OF THE MOVIE “THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING”

The movie which I chose for this occasion is called “The theory of everything”, one film that
since it was nominated to the Oscar in 2017 called my attention in an awesome way. For
started this summary I should to say that this movie was based in a real life of Stephen
Hawking, who was a theoretical physicist and cosmologist of our times.

The story begins situated in the year 1963 when Stephen Hawking (who was interpreted by
Eddy Redmayne) was studying Cosmology in the famous University of Cambridge. In that years,
He was decided to find one simple and eloquent explication about the origin of the universe.
That was his best dream and didn’t matter nothing more about it.

However, his world changed when he met to Jane Wilde, one student of the faculty of arts of
the same university. They were started to go out and passed more time together and so… the
love was growing. But one day, when Stephen had only 21 years, was diagnosed one disorder in
the motor neuron that would attack his arms and legs and also his senses would be affected.
The worst of all is that the doctor gave him just 2 years of life.

Despite this, thanks to the love that feel one for the another and the self-determination and
help of Jane, Stephen managed to stay alive so he and Jane finished marrying and
continue with his studies and so it was. Since it, Stephen started to see one distinct world and
left to feel fear for the die. So, Jane impulse him to finish his investigation about the origin of
the universe and he got make it. His study was very famous and he was known worldwide for
that.

Stephen continued studying another things in the process of his disease and he got redact a lot
of books generally about the universe and the black holes with the help of the technology. But
one day in March of 2018, he unfortunately died leaving one legacy of science and culture for
all the world. This movie leaved me one positive message because he never gave up despite

adversity and I think all should make the same because we can pass hard moments but like
Stephen say “While there is life there is hope”.

SPEAKING I
“CHARACTER WHO I CONSIDER ONE HERO”

Well, there are many people that have made a lot of significant things in the
history of the humanity. However, one of them really called my attention. That
person is Desmond Doss. This man was a soldier who started his military service
in USA in the year 1942. The father of Desmond didn’t want him belong to the
army of his country because he also was a military and he knew that be a soldier
is very dangerous. He didn’t want to lose his son.
In any ways Desmond enrolled to the army because serving to another people
was his passion and he didn’t see nothing best that help in the war. Well, one of
the actions that impressed to me was when during the military training he didn’t
want take a weapon because he sayed that killing was not his purpose. The
another people bothered his for that but he just wanted to help.
So he was including in the medical military services and during the war (against
Japan) he came to save many soldiers even when they had very few possibilities
of live. He also helped to save the life of some Japanese’s even though they were
on the opposing side. I really admire him because is one person that always
struggle with the adversity and never he didn’t feel tired to help.
