She has been at Newfield for over 30 years, both as a classroom teacher and an Instructional Support Teacher (K-2 IST). She is flexible and committed. She is a respected member of the staff. She is trained in many reading interventions including Orton Gillingham and Leveled Literacy Intervention (LL) In her role as coach, she leads the Instructional Data Teams (IDT’s) and works with classroom teachers to improve literacy instruction, She works closely with the administration in planning literacy instruction and building based professional development. She is a member of the school data team and worked on developing the School Improvement Plan. She coordinated and planned all of the after school programs for many years, She is our summer school coordinator as well. Lisa is also Responsive Classroom trained, She is a trainer of trainers and participates in the training of all new staff to Newfield. She firmly believes in the tenants of Responsive Classroom and is committed to the whole school effort. 1 wholeheartedly recommend Lisa.
