L : For the Church throughout the world, that this period of quarantine may be a time of spiritual renewal and personal encounter with Christ for people everywhere; Lord, hear us… /R. L : For leaders in government who are guiding our nation at this time, and shaping national policies, that they may make wise decisions: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For the health and well-being of our nation, that all who are fearful and affected by coronavirus, through illness or isolation or anxiety, may be at peace and free from worry: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For medical scientists and researchers, that through their skill and insights, may find cures for this disease and to stem its transmission: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For frontliners: doctors, nurses, and caregivers, for public health officials and all civic leaders, that they be given courage and prudence as they seek to respond to this emergency with compassion and in service to the common good: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For a blessing on our local community, especially those who are isolated and housebound, that our neighborhoods may be places of trust and friendship, alert to their needs, and care for them in their vulnerability: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For the vulnerable and the fearful, for the gravely ill and the dying, that they may know your comfort and peace: Lord, hear us… /R. L : For those who have died from the COVID-19 and from other causes, may they be welcomed in God’s loving arms in perfect eternal peace: Lord, hear us…/R. PP : We commend ourselves, and all for whom we pray, to the mercy and protection of God. Merciful Father, grant all these through our Lord Jesus Christ your Son who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever. Amen.
