Presently:- In NTPC TANDA stage 2 HP heater series there is no manual isolating valve in out let 3 way

valve bypass double NRV line.

Observation:-During isolation of HPH series it is not possible to completely isolate the series, it is against
NTPC’s complete isolation philosophy, we can only close and isolate inlet and outlet 3 way valves but
because there is a bypass double NRV line in Out let 3 way valve and does not having any manual
isolating valve in this line proper isolation cannot be possible, we have to relay on NRV which is not safe.

Modification:- There must be an manual isolating valve in HP heater out let 3 way valve bypass double
NRV line for complete and safe isolation.
