Structural frame and levers are designed to withstand load well in excess of rated capacity. Knife edges
and bearing are made from special alloy steel and suitably hardened and ground for extensive service life.
These are standardised for easy replac'ement. Suspension design permits main levers to swing in the
direction of vehiclesmotion. This absorbs longitudinal thrusts and minimises wear and tear of main knife-
edges. Platform codstructed of mild st€el plat€s of adequate thickness. Ribbed design to avoid skidding.

All parts finished in synthetic enamel paints. Bright parts are coated with preservatives.
