1. A Study of Behavioral Intention for 3G Mobile Internet Technology Preliminary

Research on Mobile Learning

To investigate such an issue, the research used three distinct data collection

methods and analyses which are: group interviews, survey, and written documents. In

other words, this research was conducted by using the triangulate antecedent to

intentions to adopt (Davis, 1989).

The researcher used the questionnaire to measure the various constructs

depicted in the research model. The questionnaire is divided into three parts, which are

mobile phone usage, perception in terms of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of

use, enjoyment, attitude toward use, behavioral intention to use and personal

information. All of the questions are applied and developed from the previous studies

about technology acceptance by the researchers, such as Davis (1989), Mathieson

(1991), Moore and Benbasat (1991), Venkatesh & Davis (1996), Kwon & Chidambaram

(2000). Written Documents Written documents provide another source of data for the

present study. Merriam (1988) and Hodder (2000) claim that written documents could

enable the researcher to move forward the information that could not be observed or

recalled, for example, historical studies. For the present study, written documents such

as statistical and numerical data will be collected throughout a term of data collection.

Correlation Analysis was used to examine the relationships between two or more

variables. If two phenomena are related in a systematic way they are said to be

correlated. Correlation can be measured by means of the correlation coefficient. The

closer the coefficient is to 1.0, the greater the correlation. The significance of a

correlation coefficient depends on its magnitude (closeness to 1) and the sample size,
and is assessed by means of a t-test. The t-test therefore indicates only whether the

correlation coefficient is significantly different from zero. SPSS can be used to produce

correlation coefficients between pairs of variables, and as with other tests, if the

probability is below 0.05 we reject the null hypothesis

H1: Perceived usefulness of 3G technology (Mobile Internet) will have significant

positive effect on attitude toward using 3G technology.

H2: Perceived usefulness of 3G technology (Mobile Internet) will have significant

positive effect on intentions to use 3G technology.

H3: Perceived ease of using 3G technology (Mobile Internet) will have significant

positive effect on attitude toward using 3G technology.

2. A Study on the Factors Affecting the Infant Feeding Practices Of Mothers

in Las Piñas City

The type of research used in this study is qualitative research and quantitative

research. Qualitative researchers aim to gather an in-depth understanding of human

behavior and the reasons that govern such behavior. The discipline investigates the

“why" and “how" of decision making. Besides this, the researcher will also examine the

phenomenon through observations in numerical representations and through statistical

analysis. Along with questionnaires were given out to respondents for the statistical

representation of the findings in the study, interviews with the respondents and a few

experts in this field were also conducted. The research sampling method was used in
this study is random sampling to obtain a more scientific result that could be used to

represent the entirety of the population.

Hypothesis

There is significant relationship between the socio-economic factors such as mother’s

work status, marital status and educational attainment on mothers’ breast feeding

practices.

3. Teacher Training: Its Potency on Professional Development and Work Attitudes

of Public Senior High School Teachers

The researchers utilized the descriptive- correlational survey method. This

method helped in the description of the variables chosen for the study and in the

prediction of the correlation that existed between the variables of study without any

attempt on altering or assigning causation between them.

Purposive sampling was used in the study. The study used the weighted mean,

Linear Regression in the treatment of the data to arrive at the results and findings of the

study.

Hypothesis

There is significant correlation between the Potency of Teacher Trainings on

Professional Development and Work Attitudes and Respondents’ Demographic Profile

in Terms of Sex.
4. Phenomenological Research On Nurses with Pediatric Client Diagnosed with

Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

The research gathered Registered Nurses that are experienced in handling pediatric

patients diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). Qualitative Research

was the design used specifically phenomenological approach, which involves long, in-

depth interviews with subjects.

The descriptions were analyzed using the method of qualitative analysis of the

phenomenon, situated in two moments.. First, there was a complete reading of the

questions in the questionnaire, in order to gain a better understanding of the

interviewers. At this stage of the analysis, we tried to approach to these, seeking a

better reliability of the speeches that describe the experience lived by the nurses taking

care of children with ALL (15). And on the second moment, a non-participant

observation of nursing care provided through categories of analysis was made.

The categories chosen for analysis to help understand the emotional tension

through the experiences and the coping methods the nurses use were, Difficult

situations, tasks, and emotions.

5. Training Needs Assessment of Multigrade Teachers in The Implementation of K

to 12 Program in The Districts of Busuanga, Coron, and Culion, Palawan

A Quantitative Research Utilizing Descriptive Research Design

This study was conducted to assess the training needs of Multigrade Teachers in the

implementation of K-12 Program in the Districts of Busuanga, Coron and Culion,

Palawan. It sought answers identifying the trainings needed by multigrade teachers.

Total enumeration was used in the study covering 81 multigrade teachers of the three

(3) districts. The data were collected using modified questionnaires and analyzed

through mean, frequency and percentage.

Results revealed that the level of assessment on the trainings effectiveness

attended by the teachers was not affected by the respondents’ demographic profile.

Data also showed that majority of the respondents were given local trainings and only

few attended the regional and national trainings. Moreover, trainings conducted as to its

effectiveness in terms of relevance to subject taught and usefulness to teaching were

found effective while appropriateness to learners’ needs was found much effective as

rated by the respondents. Training programs as assessed by the respondents were

evident. Furthermore, this study revealed the needed trainings by the multigrade

teachers to virtually deliver learnings to the children inclined towards achieving the 21 st

century skills.

Hypothesis

There is significant relationship on the trainings and seminars attended by

multigrade teachers for effective and efficient classroom instruction for multigrade

classes.
