A beta release of JKSimBlast v3, called JKSimView3 (SV3 for short), is now
available, as of March 2017. SV3 has been developed as a 3D viewing and
reporting program in concert with the JKSimBlast v2 modules 2DBench, 2DRing and
2DFace.

JKSimView3 The initial features are:

• 3D viewer for blasts • 3D view of blasts and analysis results from JKSimBlast v2 modules
and analyses from v2 o display energy, damage, relief rate, burden relief, detonation contours
o can show analysis data from other user-customised files consisting of
• simple text file format
coordinates and values as points, facets, cylinders or lines
• detonation playback • blast and analysis files in simple tabular text format, easily created and modified
• customizable • replay detonation simulation, with playback controls
• 3D PDF output
• control of text displayed with blast: position, font, colour, visibility
• customisable query – sticky notes and feedback
• copy/paste data
• attach external files to blast objects and activate from SV3
• attach files • output blasts and analyses to 3D PDF - need Adobe Reader v11
• include tables for drilling, charging and timing to 3D PDF
• copy and save data and images, paste data from external sources (e.g. Excel)
• group blast and analysis file paths into a single file - open just one file to open all

Development will continue later in 2017 to Afterwards, the analysis functions,

finalise all of the viewing features of SV3.
Additional planned features include:
• text, line and shape markup tools
• distance / direction measuring tools
• display graphs from analysis data
• DXF import
• laser scan import
followed by the design tools, will be
transferred from JKSimBlast v2 to
v3, creating JKSimBlast3, a single
program for all blast types.
