FINAL PROJECT SOCIOLINGUISTICS
This analyses from second picture of “Nggak ada loe nggak rame”, as shown
from the picture, which is displayed on the cemetary by using speech acts
theory: locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary acts.
First from locutionary perspective, the statement “Nggak ada loe nggak rame”
means it is quiet (I am lonely) without you. However, its meaning will be a bit
ambigue when it is analysed from illocutionary and perlocutionary perspective.
Illocutionary acts suggests the meaning of a statement as intended by the
speaker, but perlocutionary acts implies the meaning of a statement as perceived
by the listener.
From illocutionary paradigm, the statement of “Nggak ada loe nggak rame” in
that contex explains that the writer (speaker) feels lonely because their (closed)
friends have passed away.
From perlocutionary paradigm, however, the statement “Nggak ada loe nggak
rame” describes that their friends who have already passed away feel lonely on
the grave. They cannot be together ngopi or melekan like before when they are
still alive. Ussualy this sentence used by someone that can be called close friend
and showing that their have intimacy.
