With the amount of attention that block technology is assuming nowadays, its influence and the place it
occupies in the education sector cannot be ignored.In this paper the writer endeavours to expose and
comment on the relevance of block technology in the Zimbabwean Educational Sector.The writer
preambles by first defining key terms critical to the understanding of this paper.
According to Alan Drengson{1995:1} '' Technology is the systematic organization of techniques and
skills, so as to produce some product, by means of reorganizing a raw material or some other
appropriate medium''.The word “technology” comes from the Greek technologia, whose roots
aretechne—meaning art or skill, and logos—meaning word or study.This definition was erected out of
combining the meaning of these two root words.s. Blockchain (also called distributed ledger), the
technology enabling cryptocurrencies like bitcoin and Ethereum, is pulling us into a new era of
openness, decentralization and global inclusion. By definition,a blockchain is essentially a distributed
database of records or public ledger of all transactions ordigital events that have been executed and
