COMMITTEES AND AGENDAS

1. CG VIDHAN SABHA
(Mere Sapno ka Nawa Chhattisgarh)

The Chhattisgarh Vidhan Sabha or the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is the

unicameral state legislature of Chhattisgarh. The seat of the Vidhan Sabha is at Raipur,

the capital of the state. The Vidhan Sabha comprises 91 Members of Legislative

Assembly, which include 90 members directly elected from single-seat constituencies and

1 nominated from the Anglo-Indian community.

We aim at designating various portfolios of Ministers of the State Legislative Assembly

to our enthused candidates. Upon which the candidates shall have productive sessions of

debate, discussion, conference etc. to achieve the ultimate goal of making Chhattisgarh

the one from utopia.

One needs to be a visionary to conceive the ideas of making the capital bloom by

establishing the Atal Nagar, reincarnating the beautiful lake and its surroundings at

Telibandha (Marine Drive) and implementing various policies for the interest of the

tribals. What if the similar authority is bestowed to the citizens? This is the chance to

change the state as you want to see it. Rise and make optimum utilization of this

opportunity! Who knows this may ignite the fire within you to become the next youth

leader.
2. JUVENILE JUSTICE BOARD CONFERENCE
(Social Integration of Children in Conflict With Law)
(SLSA and UNICEF special committee)

One can never turn a blind eye on the Indian Judiciary and its jurisdiction, as the same can be

considered the protector of the best interests of every citizen. Also every individual is made

accountable for his actions, even the children who have not yet attained the age of majority

are subjected to the provisions of the juvenile laws.

Juveniles live in isolation from the society and their parents. To help them being rationally

connected with the outside world various Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), the State

Legal Services Authority, UNICEF etc. provide them the requisite reliefs as the established

board may not single handedly work with the required efficiency.

We aim at composing a speciality unit of such authorities who would help us overcoming the

problems relating to the children in conflict with law. To discuss and manoeuvre the field of

Juvenile Justice, display cooperation in working and draft a resolution which would help the

meeting the conclusions in the best interests of the Juveniles.

The portfolios of various member secretaries of the SLSA, heads of UNICEF and NGOs

working for protection of child rights shall be accorded to the candidates.

3. COLLECTOR’S CONFERENCE
(Issue of EVMs and Implementation of Simultaneous Elections)
(CEC Special)

For India is world’s largest democracy it also recognises the principles of Universal Adult

Franchise empowering our Right to Vote. As we all know for the matter of fact that every

major/adult has a single vote to poll, thus every individual’s vote is precious and pertinent to

sustain the principle of Good Governance by the majority and have one’s representation in

politics and in the government.

In our country, the elections are held in two phases primarily i.e. the general elections or Lok

Sabha elections and State Legislative Elections or Vidhan Sabha elections. The

representatives chosen from the elections hold the position at centre and state respectively. In

the recent years many proposals have popped up regarding conduction of simultaneous

elections in the country, i.e. elections of Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha to be held together.

The proposal has its own merits and demerits. Since we are proud citizens of our country, we

should take a stand and put forward our stances upon the proposition to decide over the issue.

The vote of every individual is casted through the Electronic Voting Machines or EVMs. The

machines have already been imposed with enough blames upon the conduction of separate

elections, what does the youth of India thinks to its use in the implementation of the

simultaneous elections.

The committee shall be comprising of various functionaries of the Chief Election

Commission and State Election Commissions, the portfolios shall be accorded to the

candidates as per the same.
