    Use and for adding information.

     I live with my wife and my son.

     I study Architecture and English.

     I like painting and drawing.

     I like playing football and dancing.

     I cook Saltado and Ceviche.

    Use but for contrasting information.

     I’m a teacher, but my father is an accountant.

     He lives in Arequipa, but his family lives in Puerto Maldonado.

     I speak Spanish, but I study English.

     She eats vegetables, but she doesn’t eat fruit.

     He jumps, but he doens’t run.


    PHONETICS /s/

    “spider, seven, space, special, student, speak”

    Linking words:

    Consonant + vowel -> linking

    Vowel + consonant -> linking

    I love eating apples.

    She studies architecture.

    I love art and music.
