1 Introduction
1.1 Demo
This demo is designed to show the ability of Professional to talk to GeoRSS
Feeds. There are a number of standards involved some of which are supported.
The feeds supported are RSS, XML or Atom. The Title Link and description will
be stored from the items of the feed.
The geographical elements of the feed can be any of the following
• World Wide Web Consortium version (W3C Geo)
W3C Geo was first out of the gate, It’s sometimes referred to as
"geo:lat/geo:lon" since those are the names of the tags. W3C Geo supports
just points.
• Simple GeoRSS
It's built on a profile (subset) of OGC's Geography Mark-up Language (GML)
specifically chosen to make it easy for programmers to implement and for
others to use. Includes support for other geometries and coordinate systems.
• GML or Pro GeoRSS
Goes to the next level of complexity and allows different coordinate reference
systems and all of Geography Mark-up Language (GML) for tagging content
in the feed.

In this demo only support for Lat/Long (WGS84) Points is included.
