SOC 2207 – Social Psychology II – Individual Project – 50%

1. Create a self-care plan including at least one activity from all 6 aspects of self-
care discussed in class. (12 marks)
This self-care plan should be realistic and practical for you to be able to execute.

2. Before you begin the execution of your plan explain your state of mind... happy,
sad, apprehensive, neither, otherwise, etc., and justify same. (6 marks)

3. For twenty-eight days execute your self-made self-care plan, and provide a
weekly report on how it is progressing and how you are adjusting to same by
addressing the guideline below:

Week 1 –
After seven days of executing your self-care plan, provide a summary of how it
transpired.
Document what challenges were faced, if any, as a result of your new routine. [Highlight
what went well and what needs improvement, if anything].
Document what will be done differently, if anything, as you embark on a new week of
self-care.

Week 2 –
After completing fourteen days of your self-care plan, provide a summary of your
second week.
Document how you are adjusting to your new routine and indicate if it is becoming
easier as the days go by or not. [Highlight what went well and what needs improvement].
Document what will be done differently, if anything, as you embark on a new week of
self-care.
Week 3 –
After completing twenty-one days of your self-care plan, provide a summary of your
third week.
Indicate how your plan is progressing.
Highlight what went well and what needs improvement.
Indicate if your self-care plan is now ‘coming together’ naturally or if it requires much
effort.

Week 4 –
After completing twenty-eight days of self-care, provide a summary of your fourth week
of execution.
Document how things culminated and if you noted differences in how you executed
your activities in week one, two, three and four.
Highlight if it is realistic to continue with your plan even after your report is completed.

N.B [You are not limited to the guidelines included at weeks 1 to 4 above. You
can definitely add more information if you find it necessary. You can report on
additional points but must address the ones indicated above.]

4. As you reflect on your four weeks of execution of self-care, explain your state of
mind afterwards... happy, sad, apprehensive, neither, otherwise, etc., and justify
same
(6 marks)
5. Now that you have completed four weeks of self-care, provide a brief assessment
of this plan indicating what you would do differently if given the opportunity to.
State if you would plan and execute this project the same way or not. Justify
your choice.
