Dear Candidates,
Kindly note the following points about the admission process for M.Tech. specialisations MM1, MM2, MM3
& MM4.

(a) TA Category Applicants (GATE based admissions)

The number of seats allocated for the various GATE papers in the M.Tech. specialisations are as given below:

Specialization GATE Paper and Seats

Materials Science (MM1) CH: 3 seats; CY or PH or XE: 14 seats; EE: 1 seat; ME: 3 seats;
MT: 14 seats.
Process Engineering (MM2) CH: 3 seats; ME: 4 seats; MT: 6 seats; XE: 3 seats.
Steel Technology (MM3) CH: 2 seats; ME: 2 seats; MT: 4 seats.
Corrosion Science & Engineering (MM4) AE or CE or EE: 3 seats; CH: 3 seats; CY or XE: 4 seats; ME: 4 seats;
MT: 13 seats.

On-the-spot-admission round will not be conducted for the year 2020-21.

(b) IB/IS/PS/SW Category Applicants

 The shortlisting of candidates for interviews (in VC mode) is based on the eligibility criteria as per the
Information Brochure (2020-21) available at the website
http://www.iitb.ac.in/newacadhome/mtech.jsp
 Tentatively, the interviews (in VC mode) will be held during 1-3 Jul-2020.
