GUIDELINES FOR OPTING SATISFACTORY/UNSATISFACTORY GRADE

As per the Senate decision for 2nd semester AY 2019-20, students can opt to convert the
default letter grade (excluding projects) to a satisfactory/unsatisfactory grade. Please read
the following guidelines carefully. RESPONSE OF ONLY THOSE STUDENTS WHO ARE
OPTING FOR SATISTACTORY/ UNSATISFACTORY IS REQUIRED.

S.No
Grade A student has an option to :

1 Letter grades A , A- ,B , B- , C , C-, D Replace with S grade.

i. Opt for supplementary exams(supplementary exam will be

held only in campus, as and when it is feasible).
2 E and F grade
or
ii. Withdraw from the course with no mention in the transcript.

3 Audit Pass NP Replace with S grade.

4 Audit Fail NF Withdraw the course with no mention in the grade sheet.

5 I grade
evaluation(s).

Please note:
1.The deadline for submitting this form is 6th July 2020 by 12.00midnight.
2. There will be a note explaining the ‘S’ grade on the transcript.
3. Courses in which students opt for S grade will NOT be used for CGPA/SGPA calculation
while the credits will be counted towards degree requirement.
