JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Delivery Driver

Reports To

Assistant Manager

Job Summary

Deliver orders and collect payment from customers in a safe, timely, and professional manner representative of the
high standards of our restaurant.

Activities & Responsibilities

Primary
o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of [INSERT RESTAURANT NAME]: [INSERT

o Make deliveries of our product to residential and commercial locations.
o Generate an efficient and timely delivery route that minimizes customer wait times when delivering more than
one order.
o Learn the names and recognize regular guests.
o Record completed delivery orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the register or POS system.
o Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
o Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas associated with the job function.
o Report all equipment problems and maintenance issues to the restaurant manager.
o Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding services or orders.
o Assist with answering phones, taking orders, and preparing orders, as needed.
o Assist the restocking and replenishment of product and supplies as stipulated in the shift duties.
o Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
o Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
o Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

o Record sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
o Provide sales promotion materials to customers.
o Sell food specialties, such as sandwiches and beverages, to office workers and patrons of sports events.

Minimum Qualifications

o Be 18 years of age or older


o Possess suitable communications skills to create a positive interaction experience with our guests.
o Possess a valid state driving license
o Able to understand and speak using the predominant language(s) of guests
o Have use of a properly maintained, licensed, and street-legal vehicle capable of driving up to two-hundred miles
per day
o Maintain minimal or higher insurance coverage as mandated by state law
o Able to read a map and interpret written directions
o Basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and make change
o Able to work in a sitting while driving, standing, and walking position with frequent changes between positions
o Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
o Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
