FIVE STAGE MODEL

Stage 1: In this stage is very important to develop the motivation and the interest in
the students to use the different elements of e-learning. Also, it is important that
students can recognize the role of the teacher like a facilitator, that can help the
students with technical support in the different online platforms. Finally, the teacher
has to help the students to discover the new environment, in order to guide the student
to control his emotions in this new kind of education.

Stage 2: In this stage the student can explore its role when it is participating in the forums
through different tasks (e-activities) in order to recognize the virtual classmates. Also, the
teacher explains its role as a moderator in different online spaces. In this stage is important
to say that the students start to build their knowledge as a community of learning by the
recognizing of the others.

Stage 3: In this stage, the students try to strengthen their cooperative knowledge. In
this way, the e-tivities should be oriented to the students can share information about
the topics of the class. The role of the teacher is oriented to teach the students the
correct way to do feedback to their classmates. Finally, the activities in this stage the
activities should be oriented to improve the communication between the learners.

Stage 4: In this stage, the students develop cooperative knowledge with their virtual
classmates. in this way the activities are oriented to work teams, to improve the
communication between students. Also, this activities try to depth the knowledge,
to wide is perspective according to a particular topic, and to recognize the different
abilities of the different participants.

Stage 5: In this stage, the activities are oriented to the students can do a reflection
about the topics learned and its incidence in real life. This activity should stimulate
critical thinking, the argumentation of its opinions, and the metacognitive aspects. Also,
in this activities, the e-moderator can explore the feelings of the students to the new
topics learned.
