School Uniforms Should Be Worn In School

Many of the schools require the students to wear uniforms. Some students find uniforms
necessary; others just hate the color and style so they prefer casual wear. Those students who
think uniforms are unnecessary are mistaken. School uniforms are the better choice because
parents can save money, give students a sense of discipline, and make all students feel equal.

First, wearing uniforms help parents to save money. In a school year, uniforms can be
purchased once a year and be worn all through the year. Instead of wearing trendy and
designer clothes every day to school which is an expensive affair, especially to those parents
who just earn enough money for the daily living it is better for their children to have school
uniforms so it will be a financial relief for the parents.

Another reason is school uniforms give students the sense of discipline. It minimizes
school theft related to clothing, expensive jewelry, and other personal items. This simple school
rule will help the students become law abiding.

Lastly, it will make all students feel equal. Those students who cannot afford branded
and expensive clothes do not need to worry who look better and dress better because students
look the same regardless of their financial status. Opponents of mandatory uniforms say that it
suppresses freedom of expression. But still, they can have their preferred hairstyle and
accessories that will define them as an individual while increasing self-esteem and instilling a
sense of belonging.

The implementation of school uniforms both benefit the students and society as a whole.
Therefore, school uniforms should be worn in schools to help parents save money, to decrease
discipline problems and promote equality.
