Wheat

Wheat is a Rabi crop. Wheat are sown in the months of October


to December and harvested during the months of February to
May. Wheat growing states in India are Uttar Pradesh, Punjab,
Haryana, Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. It is the staple diet of the
people in northern India. Wheat is an important source of
carbohydrates.

Rice
Rice is a Kharif crop. It requires a lot of water and hot weather to grow.
Rice is sown in June-July and it is harvested in November-December.
Rice growing states in India are Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu,
West Bengal, Orissa, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Madhya
Pradesh. It is the staple diet of the people in southern India. Rice is an
important source of carbohydrates

Toor
Toor is a Kharif crop and belongs to the pulses family. It is sown
in the month of June-July. It is also known as Pigeon pea. Toor
growing states in India are Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra,
Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Gujrat. Toor is an
important source of carbohydrates
Bajra
Bajra is a Kharif crop and belongs to Millets family. It is also
known as Pearl millet. It is sown in the month of July and
harvested in September. Bajra growing states in India are
Maharashtra, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. Bajra is rich
in magnesium, which helps keep the heart healthy
