Purpose
Dr. Reddy’s is committed to providing a work environment free from any form of Sexual Harassment
for all Associates. This prohibits all forms of Sexual Harassment / Discrimination, Voyeurism,
Stalking and Retaliation in the workplace or in connection with work. Conduct prohibited by this
Policy is unacceptable in the workplace or while travelling to work and in any work-related settings
outside the workplace such as business trips and business-related social events.
Sexual Harassment: shall mean any form of sexually oriented discrimination including but
not limited to:
i. passing degrading remarks;
ii. verbally abusing, insulting, teasing, mocking;
iii. indicating by any manner racially offensive symbols;
iv. physically assaulting, Stalking (defined hereinafter), or Voyeurism (defined hereinafter);
v. displaying or electronic transmission of derogatory, demeaning or hostile materials;
vi. unwelcome sexual advances;
vii. engaging in verbal or physical acts of a sexual or sex-based nature;
viii. demanding or expecting personal or sexual favors;
ix. showing pornography;
x. creating an undesirable environment through an overt behavior and mannerism which
causes embarrassment to another Associate;
xi. passing any personal comments which may make an Associate feel embarrassed or
uncomfortable; giving any kind of compliments or comments in group or in private which
cause or make an Associate feel harassed;
xii. sharing any off-color jokes, comments which are not desirable in nature.
The following circumstances if it occurs or is present in relation to or connected with any act
or behavior of sexual harassment would also amount to sexual harassment
- Implied or explicit promise of preferential treatment in employment or
- Implied or explicit threat of detrimental treatment in employment or
- Implied or explicit threat about present or future employment status or
- Interference with work or creating an intimidating or offensive or hostile work
environment
- Humiliating treatment likely to affect health or safety
Voyeurism: covertly or overtly watching or recording in any form the image of any Associate
engaging in a private act in circumstances where he or she would usually have the expectation
of not being observed either by any third party or by any other person at the behest of such
third party.

Retaliation: any adverse action taken against an applicant or Associate solely for the reason
that he or she has filed a complaint under the Policy. Instances would include but not be
limited to termination, demotion, refusal to promote or any other adverse action that would
discourage a reasonable person from opposing perceived discrimination.
Applicability
The Policy shall be applicable to all Dr. Reddy’s Associates in the territory of India. The Policy lays
down the minimum standards of Dr. Reddy’s applied to prevention of Harassment and Harassment
redressal mechanisms. In the event provisions of the Policy conflict with those of the Sexual
Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 (“the Act’) or
the rules to be framed under the Act (“the Rules”), the statutory provisions of the Act and Rules shall
prevail.
Redressal System
a. Structure
An Apex Complaints Committee which will be the core committee and a number of Internal
Complaints Committees (based on need and practicality) shall be instituted. The Internal
Complaints Committees (ICC) shall work in close coordination with the Apex Committee.
The member details of Apex Committee and the Internal Complaints Committee are listed in
Annexure 1.
Complaint Channels
An employee may adopt any one of the following channels for raising a concern.
Internal Complaints Committee Head or other members in committee
L+1 or L+2
Local HR Representative
Apex Committee Chairperson or Committee members
All complaints should be provided in writing (in English or in the vernacular language.) The local
ICC representative will help the complainant write a complaint should there be a need for assistance.
