Why does one need to know how to write philosophical texts?

Although knowing how to write philosophical texts help the writer to build a connection
between the reader and the text, the writer should be able to know how to write philosophical texts,
since it helps in providing a clear, and developed argument of the situation (Naydan, n.d.). Because it
helps the writer to focus on its point while writing the text. Next, it helps the writer to create a better
structure on writing the idea, providing proofs on the idea the writer presented. Moreover, it helps the
writer to organize the words smoothly, helping the writer to easily connect ideas in the written text.
Lastly, it helps the writer to summarize and explain the significance of the writer’s argument in the text.
Therefore, knowing how to write philosophical texts help the writer to provide a clear and developed
argument of the situation.

Why does one need to know how to read philosophical texts?

Although reading philosophical texts help the reader to understand the fundamental concepts
of nature, readers should be able to know how to read philosophy since it helps them to think, and to
discover philosophers’ principles, and what they ask (Adler & Van Doren, 1972). Because it aids the
reader to extract philosopher’s questions, its methods, and style of philosophizing. Next, it helps the
readers to discover the principles that hides within the philosopher’s written works. Because these
principles are what helps the reader to believe on what it understands according to the philosopher’s
written text. Furthermore, in understanding the principles of a philosopher in a text, the reader should
know that the philosopher does not want him to refer on its personal experiences in understanding the
philosopher’s principles. On the other hand, what the philosopher wants the reader to do is to
understand by realizing, thinking, and reflecting on what it read. Therefore, knowing how to read
philosophical texts help the reader to think, and to discover the philosopher’s principles, and what they
ask.
