This presentation contains a reflection
of my learnings, experiences, and
take-aways in Theology throughout the
semester.
Module 1: Introduction to the Course
Insight: Theology seeks to understand the nature of God

The first module gave me the chance to understand the

four basic concepts of this subject. I was taught the
relationship among Faith, Religion, Theology, and
Spirituality. It gave me enlightenment since I was able to
encounter what God is and how he does his ways towards
his creations.
Module 2: Divine revelation
and introduction to the
Bible
Insight: The bible teaches us various things,
influencing our beliefs and traditions, and made
Christianity to what it is today.

Module 2 taught me the story of how Christianity was

created. It also helped me to understand the cultural
influences of Christianity, and how it transformed
peoples’ lives. Moreover, it helped me understand the
stories of different characters, involving their faith
and devotion to God and inspired me to do good.
MODULE 3: Theology of Grace and Sin
Insight: This module taught me how to deal with the problem of sin, and the response that
leads us to grace.

Module 3 started with the concept of sin and explained how it

becomes the greatest barrier in achieving both freedom and grace.
Moreover, the module also taught me to repent myself to God, which
then helps me to receive emotional inflow of His love over my sins.
Lastly, it made me realize that His love inspires us to detach
ourselves from our desires and to start living in His ways.
MODULE 4: The Public
Ministry of Jesus Christ
Insight: God, and his kingdom, is shown through his
stories and Gospels, and messages.

I frequently hear God’s messages through the

scriptures and the church, and also read different
bible stories that inspired me to do the ways of God.
It helped me to achieve a state of actualization and
made me to delve deeper into God’s Love. It helped
me open my eyes to consider others’ perspective
towards Christianity, and their spirituality.
Module 5: The
Paschal Mystery
Insight: Jesus’ domination over death freed us
over our sins

In this module, I realized the amount of

love that given me, and of course not just
me, but His people. As he gave Jesus’ life on
the cross, that made me realize that all is
possible through Christ. Moreover, his
sacrifice taught that Christ is the only way
to live an everlasting and happy life, and
of course to experience what it is to live
with our creator.
Module 6: The Church and Her Mission
INSIGHT: The Church creates a society that bonds people to God.

After christ’s death, I have learned how he trained his people to

spread the word of God. Just how St. Peter created the Catholic
Church, St. Peter created the church that learned to even love
one’s enemies accept fully the lapses of an individual. As a
result, the church was able to unite its people through its
teachings which aims to do essentially good for others.
Module 7: Christian discipleship and
moral life in today's world
INSIGHT: Christ’s followers nourish their conscience to create a closer bonds
with God, and to achieve freedom.

In general, this module taught me that though we are

gifted freewill, and as a person, God gave us a gift to
decide for ourselves, Module 7 taught us that having
conscience is as significant as to doing good deeds and to
do things that is for the good of our people and
strengthens our relationship with God. Furthermore,
Module 7 helps us to review and realize from our actions
to practice ethical actions and considerations to what is
good not just for ourselves but also to our relationship
with God.
Three Values

1. Compassion
2. Selflessness
3. Discernment
Compassion
Compassionate towards others helps
us to practice strengthen our
relationship with God by dedicating
ourselves to others. Unlike
selflessness, and discernment,
Compassion increases our sensitivity
to others’ feelings and let’s us open
our feelings to others to understand
their situation.
Selflessness
These modules, lessons, and learnings from this subject taught me
become selfless. Just as how Jesus gave his life for us, showing a symbol
of selflessness and love towards his people through sacrifice, Jesus
taught us that there are many people who needs help and we are the ones
who can save them from any situations that may help them conquer any
challenges. Thus, this also teaches us to sacrifice ourselves for the good
of our people, and to always attend to what we can contribute to them.
Discernment
This course, Theology 1000,
helped me to discern myself to the
good doings for the benefit of
everyone. In order to be
compassionate, and selfless, as a
person, I should be able to judge
properly if the things that I do
normally is the best thing to do for
others, and to examine
thoroughly what is best for not
just me, but for my people and to
the Lord.
My Solemn Prayer
My Lord, who gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

I thank you for the chances, blessings, and the life you have
given.

As I live my daily life, with you by my side, I pray that

You give me your Angel to protect and guide me every time I

decide

And to think what is best for my people. May you also always

Deliver me from Evil, in Jesus’ name Your Son, Amen.
