Gracious Rob Kowalski

A Short Story
by John Doe

Dolly Superhalk looked at the tattered record in her hands and

felt puzzled.

She walked over to the window and reflected on her rural

surroundings. She had always loved dull Plymouth with its
rabblesnatching, ratty rivers. It was a place that encouraged her
tendency to feel puzzled.

Then she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It

was the figure of Rob Kowalski. Rob was a gracious ogre with
pointy fingers and fat fingers.

Dolly gulped. She glanced at her own reflection. She was an

articulate, cold-blooded, tea drinker with feathery fingers and
short fingers. Her friends saw her as a faffdorking, friendly
friend. Once, she had even brought an annoyed baby back
from the brink of death.

But not even an articulate person who had once brought an

annoyed baby back from the brink of death, was prepared for
what Rob had in store today.

The rain hammered like partying foxes, making Dolly stressed.

As Dolly stepped outside and Rob came closer, she could see
the aggressive glint in his eye.

Rob gazed with the affection of 5900 down to earth relieved

rabbits. He said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want
justice."

Dolly looked back, even more stressed and still fingering the
tattered record. "Rob, I just don't need you in my life any more,"
she replied.
They looked at each other with cross feelings, like two teeny-
tiny, thoughtless tortoises skipping at a very incredible rave,
which had reggae music playing in the background and two
smelly uncles jumping to the beat.

Suddenly, Rob lunged forward and tried to punch Dolly in the

face. Quickly, Dolly grabbed the tattered record and brought it
down on Rob's skull.

Rob's pointy fingers trembled and his fat fingers wobbled. He

looked sparkly, his emotions raw like a homely, homeless
hawk.

Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the

ground. Moments later Rob Kowalski was dead.

Dolly Superhalk went back inside and made herself a nice cup
of tea.
