BarkVille Dog Rescue Announces Their Annual 5K Race

Proceeds go toward rescuing stray dogs and providing appropriate veterinary care

ALPHARETTA, GA, June 16, 2020 –BarkVille Dog Rescue, a non-profit organization is hosting
their annual Race for Their Lives 5K on Saturday, July 18, 2020. The race will begin at 8 a.m. at
Fowler park, 4110 Carolene Way, Cumming, GA 30040.

Tickets are $25 before race day, then increase to $30 on race day. Registration will take place at
7 a.m. on the track at Fowler park. There will be an onsite packet pickup on the track beginning
at 6 a.m. However, you can pick up your race packet one week before the race from our
sponsor, Big Peach Running store.

BarkVille Executive Director, Karen Jones, said, “this is our favorite time of year. A time when
we get to come together as a community all working towards the same cause. I envision a
world where one day all dogs reside in a loving and safe home. I want to thank everyone
planning to join us in the race, so that one day we can achieve that dream.”

All pre-registered participants will receive a free race t-shirt. Same-day registrants will get a
shirt as long as they are available. There will be rewards for overall male / female racers by age
group. First place winners will receive water color paintings by artist, Seth Jones. Second and
third place winners will be awarded certificates.

All racers are encouraged to bring their dogs along with them on the race, as long as they are
well behaved and people-friendly. BarkVille sponsors will be providing water bowls and treats
for all dogs.

About BarkVille Dog Rescue

BarkVille Dog Rescue is a volunteer-only, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing
veterinary care to dogs in shelters or that are strays. All rescued dogs are spayed or neutered,
vaccinated, microchipped and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment that is
needed. The dogs are then placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement into
their permanent home. BarkVille is dedicated to overseeing the wellbeing of these dogs beyond
the adoption process.
