Barkville Dog Rescue Presents the Race for their live 5k

Alpharetta, Georgia, June 16, 2020- It’s that time of the year again! This Saturday, June 20, 2020
the Annual Barkville Dog Rescue’s race for their lives 5k is back and you won’t want to miss the
opportunity to support all your favorite fluffy friends. This event will be held at the Event/Track
Field at Fowler Park in Cumming, GA beginning at 7am.

Everyone is welcomed to join, and all the proceeds from the 5k are going to support Barkville
Dog Rescue in helping save and take care of animals in need. Feel free to bring your dogs as
well if they are friendly and love to run!

Ticket prices will be $25 prior to race day and $30 on the day of race. You can pick up your race
packet one week before the race at Big Peach Running store from 3pm-7pm. On the day of the
race you can pick up your packet starting at 6am at the event location. All pre-race day
registered attendants are guaranteed to receive a free t-shirt. Awards will be given out to
attendants at the end of race.

Executive Director Karen Jones shares, “This is my favorite event of the year. Everyone always
enjoys themselves and has a great time laughing and playing with the dogs. It’s important to
support dogs in need, and help raise money so that way we can continue to give them the best
care possible.”

Barkville Dog Rescue is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to spreading compassion to

all dogs in need, and giving them a loving home. They also specialize in spayed, neutering,
vaccination, chipping, and other vet care. The company support stray dogs in the metro Atlanta
area, as well as saving dog in dangerous shelters.
