Remember that we hold exams 5 days a week, so, many of the exams will take place during school days
This has been noted on forms and instruction letters.

TCL has emailed your candidates’ appointment slips for the Nov-Dec 2019 Practical exams to the
email address provided on your enrolment form.

Carefully check the spelling of names, subject and grade and that all your submitted students have
an appointment slip. If you find any errors in spelling, subject, grade etc, please mark them and email
the UAE office BEFORE 31 October (for Nov-Dec exams) YOU MAY NOT BE ALLOWED TO SIT THE
EXAM IF LEVEL AND SUBJECT HAVE NOT BEEN CORRECTED. These changes will ONLY be reflected
on your certificates.

Trinity College London provides a Piano, Music Stand and Bench in the exam room
Violin Candidates
You must supply your own CD player and CD if using for Grade IN to 3. For Grade 4 and above, you must
have a pianist. If you need an accompanist, contact the office for a list. Make sure your violin is in tune;
stewards and examiners will not tune violins.
Drum Candidates
You must supply your own CD player and CD at all grades, AND bring your own sticks.
Keyboard Candidates – please arrive 30 minutes before your exam time
You must bring your own keyboard with music-rack, stand and power supply.
Guitar Candidates
You must bring (classical) footrest, (plectrum) plectrum/pic, (electric) plectrum, cable, amp. Make sure your
guitar is in tune; stewards and examiners will not tune guitars.

 KEYBOARD EXAMS, ARRIVE 30 MINUTES EARLY, allowing for setup and warm-up.
 ALL OTHER PRACTICAL EXAMS, ARRIVE 15 MINUTES EARLY. You may forfeit your warm-up
time if you don’t arrive early.
 ORIGINAL BOOKS must always be in the exam room, even if performing from memory.
 ALL PIECES FROM NON-TRINITY PUBLICATIONS, original music and a photocopy must be
brought to the exam (PHOTOCOPIES must always be accompanied by the original music).
 ALL DOWNLOADED MUSIC, candidates must bring proof of purchases or the web address where
the music was accessed for examiner’s reference.
 Candidate and Parent guides enclosed.
