YouTube

YouTube has become a highly influential platform which is really popular among users worldwide.
Today, YouTube has millions or even billions of users around the globe. The popularity of YouTube is
closely related to the huge opportunity created by the platform because users can publish their videos
both documentary and featured ones. On February 14, 2005, three former workers of PayPal founded
the site. In November 2006, Google bought YouTube. Although YouTube at first used flash player to play
videos on it's website, but later it incorporated HTML5 to play contents. Even though YouTube focuses
on sharing videos mainly, the website still opens wide opportunities for users to share their creative
ideas and make them watchable. Users may be driven by different facts, while publishing their videos
and sharing contents with others. Some of them may be willing to publishing some interesting facts or
ideas recorded by them in the real world, while others manifest their creativity with the help of
YouTube. YouTube allows watching diverse channels and videos which may vary in the content.
However, the popularity of videos determine their availability to the audience. What makes YouTube
really popular and mainstream social media is its process of directly giving feedbacks to the creator.
These feedbacks help the creator to adjust his content according to the viewers' choice.

Impact Of Social Media On Social Life
Social media has revolutionized the way we view ourselves, the way we see others and the way
we interact with the world around us but overuse of social media is a global problem impacting
all generations. Social media allows a person to express freely and can serve as a creative outlet
for individuals to express themselves, share their artwork and share their voice on specific
topics as being able to express yourself in a healthy way is a very important part of the human
experience. But like everything in life, too much of a good thing can always lead to negative
effects. Heavy technology usage often leads to addiction, spending countless hours on these
platforms unproductively. Social media also causes many people to compare themselves to
others and envy a life that may not be attainable since many brands and individuals only share
a small percentage of their lives online. Another effect of social media is encouraging people to
form and cherish artificial bonds over actual friendships. The term "friend" as used on social
media lacks the intimacy of real friendships, where people actually know one another, want to
talk to each other, have an intimate bond and frequently interact face to face. It is important to
remember that social media does not always portray the whole story and that having real
communication skills is more important than social media. While the world would be at a
slower pace without social media, it has caused harm as well as good. Nevertheless, the
positive impact of social media is astronomical and far greater than the ills associated with it.
