It is health educator responsibility to guide and teach nurses to improve the health of the
population...educating nurses in every part of settings like schools, community, organization and
homes is a educator role..It is also include health related behaviour change make nurse to achieve
their goals with their life style, values and beliefs..It improves nurses self care, self empowerment and
ultimately, less dependence on the health care system..

Health educator use strategies to promote effectiveness of health..health education program that
focus on target the population health,as a health educator they help nurses as a professional to
improve their skills and delivering plans in health promotion..

Behavioral change is a specific action, it can be measurable, feasible and directly linked to an health
promotion..In some cases behavioral objectives should be used, for example child with diarrhoea,
mother feeding techniques, tobacco and smoking control need education to avoid injection and
risk..health behaviour objectives to a person can be used with their beliefs and lifestyle to promote
their health and wellbeing..

Health educators plays an important role in patient's life as well in the community. The nurse's role
as a health educator consists of encouraging the health care among patients.

They teach patients about the behaviour that promotes health and wellness. The nurse develop
strategies how to encourage and implement the programs that will enhance the health of patients.
These plans and programs are mainly focuses on the improvement of the health of individual and
communities. They also aim at the task and functions such as assess the need of the patient and
meet the need of the patient.

When patients are incapable of thinking positive about their health and they show negative impact
about the concern of their health. The nurse then encourage the positive behaviour in the Patients.

Nurses plays an important role in patients life as they act as a mediator between the patient as well

as the physicians. The roles of nurses in community and public health care is to provide the better

and quality of care to all the community as well as to work within the community to support

population health and deliver preventive health care services. To educate people and the community

about the diseases as well as the treatment. Nurses involved themselves to spread awareness

among the community and public about healthy living and adopting a healthy lifestyle. They educate

people to decrease the tendency of occurrence of the disease. Nurses within the community

maintains the availability of beds for critical cases and preventing long admission times. Nurses build

the trust of the patient by providing better health care and quality care.

Health Belief Model is one of the models of behaviour change theories.it influences the action plan to

follow up with a community after a failure is observed.Readiness to act is required for individual

behaviour change. There will be no action if the community doesnt percieve themselves as

susceptible,or doesnt percieve severity in the situation. Some of the intervention strategies for factor

in the Health belief model are percieved susceptibility, severity and benefits and barriers .percieved

stability works by asking the client if they think they are at risk or have the disease/condition;educate

on disease risk and link to diet.Explore ambivalence to change.it tailor information on disease/risk

factors to promote accurate perception of risk.Through  percieved severity they explore ambivalence

related to risk, discuss potential impact on clients lifestyle and educate on consequences of

disease /condition.Benefits are motivational interviewing, summarize and affirm the positive and

explore pros and cons of change. This model is good for designing individual behaviour change

strategies.

According to the model of behavior change, is also known as the stages of model change. The
health behavior change involves progress through the stages of change: precontemplation,
contemplation, preparation, action, maintenance, and termination.

Behaviour plays an important role in people's health, smoking, poor diet, lack of exercise and sexual
risk-taking can cause a large number of diseases. Interventions to change behaviour have enormous
potential to alter current patterns of disease.

The health promotion model is directly helping people achieve higher levels of well-being. It
encourages health professionals to provide positive resources to help patients achieve behavior
specific changes. The goal is not just about helping patients prevent illness through their behavior,
but to look at ways in which a person can pursue better health as well as ideal health.

Health professionals, such as nurses and doctors, comprise the interpersonal environment, which
influences individual behaviors. Self initiated change of individual and environmental characteristics
is essential to changing behavior.

Health promotion requires people to initiate and maintain health behavior changes. Behaviors such
as activity and exercise, good nutrition, stress management, limited alcohol consumption, and
smoking affect health. An act of prevention behavior is needed. Prevention behaviors include things
such as screening for breast cancer, applying preventative strategies for bone loss during
menopausal transition and with age, obtaining immunization for prevention of infection. To improve
and maintain their health status, people must have healthy lifestyles. Although the value of health
promoting activities is generally accepted, there is significant variability in primary health promotion
incorporated into the healthcare system, schools, the work-place, and communities.
The discovery of knowledge about diseases, technological assessments, and pharmacology has the
knowledge of how to help people incorporate healthcare advances into their daily lives. Abundant
information about health promotion is available, but the quality and accuracy of information differ
across sources. Little is available to help people sort through information, to apply it to their
lifestyles. Healthcare professionals need to understand how health behavior change is made and
their role in facilitating and supporting change.

There are many ideas to help and make sure that your learner learns. Firstly the patient should be
ready to learn. If you don't teach when the learner is ready, you're wasting your time. Teach them to
solve problems. Overcome barriers to learning. Plant and sow readiness to learn in them.

Learning readiness refers to how likely a person is to seek out knowledge and participate in behavior
change. Individuals go through various stages in order to adopt or maintain a new health behavior.
In the contemplative stage, the person is generally not aware of a problem or ready to act. Many
factors influence a patient's readiness to learn. Anything that affects physical or psychological
comfort such as pain, fatigue, anxiety, fear also affects a person's ability and motivation to learn.

One of the most important roles nurses have today is patient education. Patients need to take a
proactive role in their own health care. This means they need to comprehend their health status and
work to stabilize and prevent to minimize complications from any chronic illnesses.
