Memories

How I felt when I arrived at St Lucia’s

I didn’t want to go in to school - I was nervous and I clung onto my mum, but she got me to
sit down and listen to what the teacher said, (Mrs Smith).
My happiest memory
I got to school, lined up and I had seen another boy. We lined up together and became best
friends.
My proudest memory
In class 1 we were learning about minus signs and Mrs Smith asked, “What does this symbol
mean?” and I said, “It means to take away numbers from other numbers.”
My scariest memory
At Culmington Manor the boys brought ‘spray on deodorant’. After the first day turned
night time, the fire alarm went off; it was pitch black we ran outside and got soggy feet and
I was terrified. There wasn’t even a fire - it was just the ‘spray on deodorant’.
Another proud memory
I was at Culmington Manor and I was at the abseiling activity and I stood on the edge.
I was really proud, but I didn’t go down because I am afraid of heights.
To the Year 5s
I hope you have a good time as year 6s and do well on your SATs.
