It has been reported on 25/04/2019 at 11:15 am Tuesday that biomedical waste segregation

In unique hospital is done according to biomedical waste management act 2016 from the wards, floors
and Icu. Most of hospital departments are following BMWM act.

Problem observed in following departments

1. Operation theater”- Improper segregation of waste

2. Transportation hand handling of waste by housekeeping workers of OT is improper.
3. Transportation of waste from all floors to storage area staff is improper.( not according to color
coding )
4. Storage of waste in basement is not proper in storing area. ie not according to color coding
5. Segregation of general waste from all floors.
6. Housekeeping worker not using PPE while segregation.

Requirement of an segregation worker in basement for observation and segregation of waste.
