A Smarter Way to Save Water

Most conventional timer-based systems water on a fixed weekly schedule and do not adjust to changing
environmental conditions. This can result in over-watering of 30% - 50%. What’s more, over-watering
injures plants and creates runoff that can damage paths and driveways.

Weathermatic’s SmartLine System, is the world’s leading weather-based controller. With a feature set that exceeds most high-end
controllers, the unit brings affordable ET based water management to any site - saving precious water resources and maintaining
landscapes in peak condition.

• Installed at more than 250,000 properties, water savings averaging 38%

• Weather-based watering option that auto-adjusts based on geographical location, temperature, and precipitation
• Accounts for seasons, soil, plant and sprinkler type to optimize water efficiency resulting in beautiful landscapes
• Eliminates run-off by providing maximum run-times and soak-times
• Complies with local water restrictions by enabling you to omit days

INSTALL A WEATHER STATION TO
ACTIVATE THE SMART FEATURES OF
THE SMARTLINE CONTROLLER.
Seasons, weather patterns, soil conditions and plant types
dictate the amount of water required for landscaping - the
SmartLine System in combination with the SLW weather
station takes all this into account, monitoring conditions to
auto-adjust the controller run time.

HOW THE SMARTLINE CONTROLLER WORKS WITH THE WEATHER STATION

Taking weather data every 8 seconds, the SmartLine weather station automatically adjusts duration, frequency and soak
time, enabling precise water adjustments and an optimum watering schedule. This can reduce water usage by 30 – 50%
while maximising plant health and eliminating runoff. Now that’s smart.

HOW IT WORKS
A SmartWire SLDEC valve decoder is wired to each valve. Each decoder has a programmable address (typically the zone
number), which identifies it to the SmartWire SLM48DM 2-Wire decoder module installed in a SmartLine® SL1600 controller.

Affordable, web-based irrigation management

Computer Smartphone Tablet

We have some good news. The days of the dial are numbered. It’s the 21st century, and we access
nearly everything from our smartphones, tablets, and computers. The SmartLink Network has changed
everything, and it’s available now, today, this minute. Unlike the few other options available out there,
you don’t have to install a complicated third-party add-on box, or pay a small fortune for something
that looks like it was made in someone’s garage. Instead, you simply plug-in the SmartLink Aircard for
your Weathermatic SmartLine or ProLine controller and log-in to the network. For pennies a day you
will be the “Commander-in-Chief” of your irrigation systems.

IT’S ALL THERE REPORTING FOR DUTY

If it’s an option on your controller, it’s an option on SmartLink. There’s no mystery to what’s occurring at your site.
Web-Based reporting provides historical flow and weather data.
THE CLOUD IS YOUR FRIEND
No matter what happens to the controller, your custom UNLIMITED SITES

The saddle type sensors utilize the same flow sensor insert
used in the tee type SLFSI-T Series sensors. SLFSI-S Key Features

The insert, held in place with a retaining nut, contains the

detection circuitry and carries the unique four-bladed ultra 1/4 to 12 FPS equivalent to:
light impeller on a transverse axle. Flow Range 22.7 to 1135 LPM in 80mm PVC
37.8 to 1817 LPM in 100mm PVC
The insert mounts in a housing that controls the depth and
alignment of the impeller, unlike insert type sensors that
may be mis-aligned or set to the wrong depth. The housing Working Pressure
is permanently attached to the PVC saddle; therefore, no 1000 kPa @ 32˚C

The SLF-WIRERIDE enables installation

of a new Master Valve and Flow Sensor
on an irrigation system, without the need
of running new wire back to the irrigation
controller. With WireRide, the new
Master Valve and Flow Sensor essentially
“hitch a ride” back to the controller using
a nearby preexisting zone wire.

HOW IT WORKS
The WireRide Controller Module mounts
near the SmartLine™ controller. It routes
the Master Valve, Flow Sensor, and the
nearby Zone Valve to their corresponding
location in the SmartLine controller
and to the SmartLink Flow Aircard.

SPRAYS

LXPRSSpray
All spray nozzles perform at their best and provide the
most uniform distribution at an outlet pressure of 210 kPa.
The pressure regulating stem (PRS) maintains the pressure
to the nozzle at the optimum 210 kPa, even with varying
inlet pressure, ensuring maximum nozzle performance.

The PRS saves both money and water by helping

to stop misting and fogging caused by high water
pressures and improves the efficiency and evenness of
water distribution on the landscapes. This more even
application of water means you can run your system for
less time while still applying the right amount of water to
the landscape.

MAINTAINS CONSTANT PRESSURE

PRS maintains constant outlet pressure at 210 kPa.
Spray nozzles perform best at 210 kPa. Ensures maximum
nozzle performance, even with varying inlet pressures.
Maintains constant pressure regardless of nozzles used.

RESTRICTS WATER LOSS

PRS restricts water loss by up to 70% if a nozzle is
removed or damaged, saving water and money. It also
maintains consistent performance throughout the rest
of the zone keeping plant life properly irrigated by other
spray heads.

ENDS MISTING AND FOGGING

PRS ends the misting and fogging caused by high
pressure, stopping water waste. Ensures that appropriate
watering occurs in high pressure or windy conditions.

NO PARTS INSTALLATION ONSITE

Built-in check valve (CV) eliminates the need for under-
the-head check valves. No parts to be installed at the site.

MAINTAINS WATER IN LATERAL PIPES

Check valve maintains water in lateral pipes in elevation
changes of up to 2.90 m. Prevents drainage from spray
heads at lower elevations. Stops water waste. Ends
landscape damage due to flooding and/or erosion.

Pressure regulating
EASY IDENTIFICATION valve in stem
“PRS-CV” stamped on cap for easy identification
and maintenance.
