I would say that this electricity system is not function well after understanding the existing
challenges and potential energy resources available in the country. The first reason of bad
functioning is the larger amount of energy generated by renewable energy that are often curtailed
while there is a larger load demand of 50GW needed. This is the problem of misuse of renewable
power generated. Also, there is a lack of efficiency in operation of the system which can be
shown by poor maintenance planning that lead to those power failures. they should be a well-
planned maintenance of the power plants at the same time meeting the peak demand. Finally, the
institutional mechanism and practice seems to be complicated there is a need of a revised
mechanism that would allow the implementation of new ancillary market product.
