1. Key to engine diagrams:

1.1 Meaning of the arrows (connections):

In order to improve the clarity of the diagrams, any media entering or exiting the engine are indicated by
an arrow.
D
Different letters are used to identify different media (e. g. = fuel gas entering). In some cases a
digit is added to the letter to give even more detailed information.
The tip of the arrow indicates the flow direction of the media.

T Fuel gas entering (pre-combustion chamber gas supply line)

Intake air
V Intake air

Air-gas mixture
DV Air-gas mixture (from air-gas mixer)

Water
M Water entering (mixture/water heat exchanger stage 2)

N Water exiting (mixture/water heat exchanger stage 2)

W Engine cooling water entering

W1 Engine cooling water exiting

W2 Water entering (mixture/water heat exchanger stage 1)

W3 Water exiting (mixture/water heat exchanger stage 1)

Engine oil
I Engine oil refill (connection to fresh oil tank)

J Engine oil draining (connection to used oil tank)

O Engine oil exiting (to engine oil/water heat exchanger)

O1 Engine oil entering (from engine oil/water heat exchanger)

Exhaust gas
C Exhaust gas (to exhaust gas turbocharger)

C1 Exhaust gas outlet

C2 Exhaust gas inlet
