The Wolf and Lion

Along time ago, there were a wolf and a lion. The wolf was
weak but clever. Meanwhile, the lion was strong but stupid. It
was a common knowledge that the wolf always fooled the lion.
Making both of them mortal enemies.

It was another fine day. The wolf was wandering around

the rocky mountain. He was looking for his pack, but he ran
into the lion, instead. ‘Oh gosh, it’s the lion!’ he muttered,
filled with fear. Last time, the wolf had tricked the lion to get
some food for himself. ‘I’m sure he will plot revenge on me. I
need to fool him first’. He clever mind suddenly came up with a
plan.

The wolf suddenly for help loudly to get the lion’s

attention. ‘Help! Help! Someone please help!’ Hearing that. The
lion immediately came to the source of the sound and found
the wolf. ‘Oh mighty king! Thank god I meet you here! please
help!’ said the wolf with a fake cry. ‘Look’ the wolf pointed at a
big rock not far above them, ‘The big rock is about to fall ! All
of us, including those who live down in the forest, will die. The
rock will smack us and destroy our houses!‘ As the king of the
jungle, the instantly felt responsible to protect other animals
from danger.

‘Don’t worry. I will protect you all,‘ said the lion.

‘Good gracious, king, please do,’ said the wolf, begging.

Then the wolf asked the lion to hold the hanging rock. ‘Please
hold the rock for now, king, and I will seek for some help,’ said
the wolf. The lion immediately followed the wolf’s instruction
without suspecting anything. ‘Take your time and don’t worry
about me,’ said the lion proudly, trying to hide the fact that
he was already struggling. ‘Oh dear my mighty king, you’re the
best and strongest of us all,’ said the wolf clearly as he patted
the lion’s back. ‘Wait here, I will be back with some help.’

The lion nodded. The wolf left the lion alone and
continued his journey. As he walked further from the lion, he
looked back and giggled. ‘Stupid lion, you may be stronger than
me, but I’m smarter than you! Ha…. Ha….. Ha…..!,’ said the wolf
he laughed mischievously.
