Good morning headmaster, judges, teachers and all my dear

friends. The title of my story is The Hare and the Tortoise.

One day a hare met with a tortoise at the foot of a hill.

“Hello, little Tortoise!Where are you going? How short your legs
are!” said the hare.
“ I am going over to the hill. I am a slow runner, but I can run a
race with you,” said the tortoise. “All right. Let's run a race with you to
the top of the hill,” said the hare.
The hare and the tortoise started. The hare ran very fast. The
hare said to himself, “ I can much faster than the tortoise, and I may
have a little nap here.”
So the hare lay down under a tree and was fast asleep. But the
tortoise did not stop for a moment. He walked on and on. At last he got
to the top of the hill.
The hare woke up and looked around, but he could not see the
tortoise. He sprang up and ran as fast as he could. When the hare got
to the top of the hill, he found the tortoise was resting there
peacefully.
The tortoise said to the hare, “Now, Mr. Hare! Which was the
faster runner, you or I?”

The Lion and the Mouse(獅子與老鼠)

Once a great lion was sleeping in a wood. A little mouse happened to come and
ran over his face. The lion awoke and caught the little mouse in anger, and was
going to kill her. “ Oh, dear kind Lion!” Said the little mouse." Please forgive me. I
didn't mean to do you any harm. Let me go. I shall return your kindness."

" Ha, ha, ha,"  laughed the lion. " How can a little thing like you help a great
lion?"" Thank you very much, kind Lion! I hope I shall be able to do you a good
return some day,"  said the little mouse.
Some time after this, the lion was caught in a trap. Just then the little mouse
came along. At once she ran up to the lion, and said, " You were very kind to me
once. Now I'll save your life, and repay you the kindness which you showed me the
other day."  Soon she gnawed the ropes of the trap with her sharp teeth, and the lion
was happy to be free again.
" Thank you, little Mouse!"  said the lion, and he walked away.

Good morning headmaster, judges, teachers and all my dear
friends. The title of my story is The Boy Who Cried Wolf.
There was once a boy whose father one day told him that he is old
enough to look after the sheep. Every day he had to take the sheep
over the grass fields and watch them as they grazed to become strong
sheep with thick wool. The boy was unhappy though. He wanted to run
and play, not watch the boring sheep. So, he decided to have some fun
instead.

The boy cried ‘Wolf! Wolf!’ until the entire village came running
with stones to chase away the wolf before it could eat any of the sheep.
Once they saw that there was no wolf, they left muttering under their
breath about how the boy was wasting their time and giving them a good
fright while at it. The next day, the boy again cried ‘Wolf! Wolf!’ and
the villagers again rushed to chase the wolf away.

As the boy laughed at the fright he had caused, the villagers left,
some angrier than the others. The third day, as the boy went up a small
hill, he suddenly saw a wolf attacking his sheep. He cried as hard as he
could, ‘Wolf! Wolf! WOLF!’, but the villagers thought he was trying to
fool them again and did not come to rescue the sheep. The little boy
lost three sheep that day, all because he cried wolf too many times.

you actually need it.’
Good morning headmaster, judges, teachers and all my dear
friends. The title of my story is A Bundle of Sticks.
Once upon a time, three neighbours living in a village
were having trouble with their crops. Each of the
neighbours had one field, but the crops on their fields
were infested with pests and were wilting. Every day,
they would come up with different ideas to help their
crops. The first one tried using a scarecrow in his field,
the second used pesticides, and the third built a fence on
his field, all to no avail.

One day, the village head came by and called the

three farmers. He gave them each a stick and asked
them to break it. The farmers could break them easily.
He then gave them a bundle of three sticks, and again,
asked them to break it. This time, the farmers struggled
to break the sticks. The village head said, “Together, you
are stronger and work better than you do it alone.” The
farmers understood what the village head was saying.
They pooled in their resources and got rid of the pests
from their fields.
