1. Introduction
Constitucion Mill is looking for an optimization in the current system for hydrogen peroxide dosage.
Nowadays the hydrogen peroxide is added in the conveyor belt located after the IMPCO washing filter
(33-Q-60), which is the existing transport system of the pulp from the washing filter to the high
consistency tower (33-G-65).
The main targets are to improve the mixture of H2O2 with the pulp to optimize the chemical charge
and, as an environmental solution, to replace the existing conveyor belt by a standard concept with
stand-pipe and MC pump.
Process data:
- Production: 1050 Adt/d
- Filter outlet Consistency: 10-12%
- Filter outlet Temperature: 60°C
- Filter outlet pH: 10-11
- Tentative pipe routing isometric. Pipe length: 89.4 m; 90° bends: 9; static height of 28 m
2. Technical solution
The Valmet’s solution considers to replace the existing transport system of the pulp (belt conveyor)
by a standard system including a screw conveyor, stand pipe and MC pump.
If the pulp can be diluted after the filter, the hydrogen peroxide can be added into the screw conveyor.
Otherwise, it could be dosaged close to the suction side of the MC pump.
The stand-pipe will be in the first floor and the pulp will be pumped to the high consistency tower by
the MC pump.
The screw conveyor will be placed on the level below the filter according to the principal drawing
below.

The screw conveyor mainly consists of a steel vat and a screw rotor driven by an electrical motor via
a v-belt drive and a shaft mounted reduction gear. The vat is equipped with a dilution box and a dilution
connection. The rotor is designed for efficient mixing of pulp and dilution liquor.
MC Pump
The purpose with the CM Pump is to pump pulp suspension from a tank or standpipe and forward in
the process line. The CM Pump can also be used as a pressure reinforcer (booster pump).
The CM pump is the perfect solution for medium consistency pumping of pulp in all pulping processes.
The CM pumps have a modern design based on our well proven standardized components, resulting
in good operational reliability and minimized maintenance costs. The powerful pump will have a long
mechanical lifetime even in a tough pulp mill environment.
Working Principle:
The pulp enters the inlet and meets the impeller. An inducer, placed on the impeller, will fluidize the
pulp and prepare the pulp for sufficient pumping and degassing. The inducer will also create a
pressure of some meters before the pump inlet.

7. General conditions
The supply of the main equipment is in accordance with Orgalime S2012 “General Conditions for
the Supply of Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Products” and TPL01E, “General Conditions
for the Provision of Technical Personnel – Schedule of rates Contract”.
8. Limitation of liability
Valmet S.A. shall in no event be liable to the Owner, by way of indemnity or by reason of any
breach of diagnostic support contract or in tort or otherwise, for loss of use of any part (or all) of
the Plant, loss of production, loss of profit or anticipated profit, loss of opportunity, loss of any
contract, or for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage which may be suffered by the
Owner in connection with this quotation. In case of Valmet is obligated to pay, Valmet's total liability
will be limited to 10% of the total purchase order value.
9. Validity of quotation
This quotation is valid for 60 days from this quotation issue date.

Design
The screw conveyor mainly consists of a steel vat and a
