INTRODUCTION:
A lubricant is a substance introduced to reduce friction between moving
surfaces. This has the benefit of reducing friction and surface fatigue together
with reduced heat generation, operating noise and vibrations. Lubricants are
applied manually by checking the machine regularly and it requires manual
requirement, in industries a regular monitoring is required.
BRIEF METHODOLOGY:
For storage of the oil lubricant we use an oil reservoir. Nozzles are placed at
the required positions of the moving parts in machine where lubrication is to be
applied. The oil flow control is done using solenoid valves which are activated
by signal from a control unit which automatically opens and closes the oil
valves.
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
By implementation of this project we can eliminate the requirement of manual
operation in machinery maintenance. By setting the time period for lubrication,
oil is dripped automatically by the system.
