Sub: Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity


Surveying & Contract) Examination, 2016 – Declaration of
Final result - reg.

Result of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and


Quantity Surveying & Contract) Examination, 2016 – Paper-II was
declared on 15.12.2017.

2. On the basis of Cut Off marks in Paper-II fixed by the


Commission, 2765 candidates qualified in Civil Engineering and 1177
candidates qualified in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering for
Document Verification.

3. Consequent upon Document Verification 1242 candidates have


been finally qualified for appointment. Allocation of Posts and
Departments to the qualified candidates has been made on the basis
of merit-cum-‘order of preference’ of Departments exercised by the
candidates at the time of Document Verification. Keeping in view the
vacancy position, category-wise details of the 1242 candidates
qualified for appointment to the posts in different Departments are
given below:

3. Category wise break-up of the candidates selected for the posts


of Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Quantity
Surveying & Contract) along with the total marks obtained by the last
selected candidates are given below. In cases where candidates are
selected against horizontal vacancies (i.e. OH & HH), total marks of
such last selected candidates are reflected against their respective
horizontal category, not against their vertical category (1-SC, 2-ST, 6-
OBC, 9-UR).

Note 3: For Post Code ‘O’- JE (Electrical) in CPWD, as per the


educational qualification mentioned in the notice of the examination
(Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised
University or Institute), all those candidates were considered who had
qualified in Written Examination in either Electrical Engineering or
Mechanical Engineering and were otherwise eligible.

8. As per Notice of the Examination, in cases where more than


one candidate secured the equal aggregates marks, tie cases have
been resolved by applying the following methods one after another:
(i) Total marks in Paper-II.
(ii) Total marks in Paper-I.
(iii) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
(iv) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates
appeared.

9. There are some candidates whose candidatures have been kept


as provisional by the concerned Regional Offices but are also
included in the Select List. Concerned User Departments will check
the eligibility of such candidates thoroughly at the time of
nomination.

10. The final result of this examination is available on the


Commission’s website i.e. http://:ssc.nic.in. Marks of the candidates
will be uploaded on the Commission’s website shortly.
