Personal Opinion
I likes this novel because the words and sentences easy to understand. I think why easy to
understand because this book for elementary and junior high school children around 8-15
years old. So, the words and sentences made to be simple, and for us Indonesian who are not
native English speakers quite easy to understand too. Aside from that, I think this novel also
has a good cover, because use a bright yellow, so we will immediately focus on seeing the
first time, and has a simple picture in cover with silhouette of Kester riding a wolf. And the
last I think the story is exciting because we can feel enter the adventure in the story. I have
one favorite scene in this novel when Kester for the first time meets a flock of talking pigeons
and bossy cockroach, and then the pigeons fly Kester to a wild place where the last creatures
in the land have survived.
Recommendation
I really recommend anyone to read this novel especially for elementary and junior high
school children around 8-15 years old. But it can be read and enjoyed for all ages including
adults too. I recommend anyone to read this novel because have an exciting adventure
storyline, although this book creates for the children but I think for teenagers to adults also
will be interested with the plot in this novel.
