Govind Ballabh Pant Institute of Engineering
& Technology, Pauri is an Institute with total
commitment to quality and excellence in
academic pursuits. The College was
established in 1989, as an autonomous
body, with a view to fulfill the ever-growing
demand for well-trained professionals. It is
one of the few premier colleges imparting
technical education in the state of
Uttarakhand.
The Institute started its first academic
session from 1991-92 with a limited intake.
The Institute was then affiliated to the
Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal
University, Srinagar (Garhwal). From the
academic year 2006-2007, the college got
affiliated to the Uttarakhand Technical
University, Dehradun year by year and
getting disaffiliated from the H.N.B. Garhwal
University. Since the academic year 2012-
2013, the college got fully autonomous

The department of Computer Science and
Engineering was established in the year
1992, has come out a long way on the
frontier lines of software research and
development. The department keeps itself in
pace with the IT changes and regularly
updates its laboratories with the latest
computing facilities, licensed software and
IT infrastructures to give exposure to the
students to the state of the art technologies.
One-week FDP includes
Five days Training will be taken by
experienced international and national
faculty members and Industrial Experts.
The training hour is 4-6 hours/ each day.
Mode of training is Instructor-led live
online.
