The Montreal Enlightened Proving Grounds

Welcome to the Proving Grounds,

Congratulations on choosing Enlightenment! This community was put together by

the Montreal Enlightened and we are here to support you every step of the way as you
learn to take your first steps in Ingress and become a player in our community.

Ingress is a game that makes you move. It is most enjoyable when played with others in
a pairs, groups and even during epic battles like #Minotaur, #13Magnus and the Jarvis
Shards. Team play is essential for success in almost every aspect of the game, and
those who harness teamplay and community are those that will reap the greatest
benefits that this game has to offer.

Ingress is a social game that makes you move and discover new places around you.
We want to help you get started and on your way as quickly and as smoothly as
possible. There are already more than 1,000,000 players worldwide and nearly 10,000
players in Quebec and surrounding cities that have been battling it out for more than 12
months. There is much to learn and your help is definitely needed for our continued
success in this epic global battle.

There’s no doubt that you have a lot of questions, but first you prove your allegiance to
the Enlightened in order to pass through the Proving Grounds and qualify for
membership within the Montreal Enlightened community. Once there we will be able to
help answer and guide you through any questions that you might have regarding the
game and we can start assisting you in maintaining your local territory.

Please read the following instructions carefully to qualify. All applications that do
not complete the following process will be ignored. In order to qualify for membership in
the Montreal Enlightened you must:

● Fill out the Agent Registration Form with your information.

● Create a new post in the Introductions / Applications and tell us a little about
yourself. Include your agent name so we can associate your player profile with
your G+ profile.
● Introduce yourself to the team in Ingress using the “faction” chat.
● Find a mentor. A mentor will volunteer based on your area of play and they will
contact you to set up a rendezvous to meet where they can help guide you
through some basic training and answer all your questions to help get you
started. It is your responsibility to maintain contact with your mentor as they will
 be reporting your team-worthiness to the rest of the community.
● All applications that meet these qualifications will be reviewed and sent an invite
to our community.
● Once you have accepted your invitation in the Montreal Enlightened community
you will be removed from this community to prevent clutter.
