is in the petrochemical industry which deals with industrial solvents


(i.e., IPA, SBP, DMK, EAC and HEX) these chemicals have different effects to one’s health and
to the surrounding environment.
CBTI is committed to ensure health, safety, security of all its employees and others involved in
the business and maintain a safe and healthy work environment and its surrounding community.
A. General Guidelines
1) Employees, contractors, haulers and visitors who have official business can enter the premises
of the company.
2) Ignition sources (i.e., match and lighter), smoking, illegal drugs, alcohols, and deadly weapons
are strictly prohibited inside the premises of the company.
3) Electronic device (i.e., cell phones, tablets etc.) are not allowed inside especially near Tank
farm area.
You can only use Electronic gadgets when you’re in the office or unless the gadget or equipment
to be used are intrinsically safe and explosion proof with proper documentation.
4) When entering the area always use PPE or wear your proper uniform.
B. Employees
1) Make sure that the employees entering the company has I.D. and proper attire.
C. Haulers and Contractors
1) Duty guard should know the names of truck drivers and haulers including truck helpers.
2) Duty guard should also know Truck plate number.
3) Hauler’s and Visitors will undergo under chasses inspection to ensure that the vehicle will not
cause any threat to the area.
4) Pre-lorry checklist for Tankers
5) Visitors should use Spark arrester when entering the vicinity.
6) ALL Contractors should submit Police Clearance, NBI Clearance and/or Barangay Clearance
of their workers.
D. Visitors
1) Authorized visitors are as follows: (Make sure that all the visitors has clearance from office or
management)
a. Job Applicants (with clearance from office)
b. Contractors (with permit)
c. Service Personnel (with permit)
d. Customers
e. Third Party auditors
f. Guests Speakers, and
g. Government Personnel
2) Vendors and Solicitation is strictly prohibited.
3) All visitors must sign-in upon entry at guard house. Guard should know the I.D., plate number
of vehicle (if applicable) and purpose of visit.
4) No visitors shall enter the premises unless permitted by the area supervisor or management.
5) Taking photo is strictly prohibited (unless permitted by the management)
E. Safety Policies

1. Wearing of Personal Protective Equipment

a. No one will be allowed to work when not wearing proper PPE

Violation of this policy will be penalized as follows:

I. Verbal communication and written warning

II. Written warning with attestation from the violator that he has violated this policy and he will not be
repeating such violation

III. Written report and fine of P1500 per violation. (This will be deducted from your salary)

2. Safe work permit

Works that impose high risk to the company will need safe work permit before proceeding.
CBTI Daily Operation: 5am to 2pm
1) Truck loading starts at 5am daily.
Safety Checklist before loading:
a) Switch off engine
b) Put emergency stop sign in front of the Truck
c) Hand brake on
d) Wheels choke in place
e) Ground the Truck
f) Close all compartment’s gate valves
g) Close emergency shut off valves
h) Isolation Switch off
Note: No cellphone, no lighter or any source of iginition allowed. Violators will be penalized.
2) Closing of gate valves of each Tanks After Truck loading
3) Shipment Receiving usually ones or twice a month or sometimes of thrice.
Things not to do during unloading of products from Vessel:
1) No withdrawal of products (unless need to have flushing).
2) Withdrawal of products will be 12 hours after discharged.
3) No Hot works in the Site.
