What is a VPN?
VPN stands for “virtual private network” a service that encrypts your Internet
traffic and protects your online identity.

Virtual Private Network


A VPN allows you to create a secure connection to another network over the
Internet. VPNs can be used to access region-restricted websites, shield your
browsing activity from prying eyes on public Wi-Fi.
They originally were just a way to connect business networks together securely
over the internet or allow you to access a business network from home.
But nowadays many people use a VPN for by passing geographic restrictions to
view content in a different country.
If you want to access any website in the UK while you are connected to a VPN,
while you are in Iraq, the site will show that the request came from the UK.
The most advantages of VPN :
1. the main reason why internet users choose VPN services is online privacy and
general security.
2. Your communications are encrypted, so your ISP, hackers are not able to see
which websites you visit and cannot interfere with your online activities.
3. A VPN allows you to connect to hundreds of remote servers in different
locations, this way bypassing censorship.

The most disadvantages of it :


1. The Best VPNs Aren’t Free.
2. VPNs Don’t Natively Work on All Platforms.
3. Using a VPN Might Lower Your Connection Speeds.
4. Some VPNs Log User Data.

How Does a VPN Work?


When you browse the web while connected to a VPN,
1.your computer contacts the website through the encrypted VPN connection.
2.The VPN forwards the request for you and forwards the response from the
website back through the secure connection.
